Staff was very friendly and food was absolutely delicious! As other reviews say, the portions are sizeable. Hashbrowns seem homemade and were nice and crispy. Rancher burger was amazing, nice and hot. Coffee with homemade whipped cream too! If you're in McGregor you should visit.
We stopped here on a long travel back home. It took over an hour to get our food which was challenging, but it seemed like everyone came in at the same time and only one waitress. The order came out correct and tasted good. The pancakes are huge.Kid-friendliness: They have kid friendly items.

I had the chicken salad sandwich, which was very tasty and larger than I expected. I was very envious of the breakfasts that were coming out for other customers. They looked amazing! Will definitely eat here again if I come back through this way.

We happened upon this cafe while visiting the local state park. It’s a quirky little cafe in a replica of a one room school house. We had breakfast and the food and service were very good. I had the farmer’s omelet and it was stuffed FULL of meat and veggies. The toast was made with homemade rye bread. And, best of all, the meal came with a surprise cup of bread pudding with whipped cream. I would give this a 10/10 for a good home cooked breakfast!
