Took over 15 minutes to get someone to wait on us. Then we ordered, and the server came back five minutes later to confirm our order (and it was still not right when we got it).
When we got our order, the sides were reversed and she forgot bacon on the “Smashburger.” Not only that, but the Smashburger was just a regular, dried up crumbly patty. She brought bacon and she was informed the burger was inedible. It got remade and was palatable.
Assumed we’d be back and gave us a free beer chip for next time for our troubles.
The menu online looks way better than the menu they give up. We would not have gone if the current menu was posted online.

Went to the Sandy Beaver tonight for dinner and drinks and had an incredible time. The drinks were Awesome (some Old Fashioneds, 7-7s and beer). For appetizers, we had the chicken wings, which were HUGE, had a lot of meat on the bones and the bourbon sauce was excellent. For dinner we had Bourbon and Bacon burger which was also excellent. All in all, a great dinner for the 4 of us and even got to spend some time talking with the owner Jim, who was very friendly and laid back. Will be back soon, as it was worth the drive up from Mille Lacs and the standard restaurants we eat at there. HIGHLY Recommend!

Also- had the shrimp street tacos and I can confidently say they are the best ones I have ever had! Better than any restaurant in Florida we have been too!
The shrimp was super tender and the breading was spot on!

Brought the entire family here for an end of the 4th weekend dinner. Service was great and food was just fine. I had made smash burgers 2 night prior at the cabin and many had them again at the sandy beaver. Only complaint was that they were quite small.
Drinks were good and the atmosphere was fun. We will be back!
