Went to the Sandy Beaver tonight for dinner and drinks and had an incredible time. The drinks were Awesome (some Old Fashioneds, 7-7s and beer). For appetizers, we had the chicken wings, which were HUGE, had a lot of meat on the bones and the bourbon sauce was excellent. For dinner we had Bourbon and Bacon burger which was also excellent. All in all, a great dinner for the 4 of us and even got to spend some time talking with the owner Jim, who was very friendly and laid back. Will be back soon, as it was worth the drive up from Mille Lacs and the standard restaurants we eat at there. HIGHLY Recommend!

What a great deal!
Also- had the shrimp street tacos and I can confidently say they are the best ones I have ever had! Better than any restaurant in Florida we have been too!
The shrimp was super tender and the breading was spot on!

Brought the entire family here for an end of the 4th weekend dinner. Service was great and food was just fine. I had made smash burgers 2 night prior at the cabin and many had them again at the sandy beaver. Only complaint was that they were quite small.
Drinks were good and the atmosphere was fun. We will be back!

The more I come here the more I like it. The place presents clean is filled with what I felt were locals other than weekenders.I was greeted soon after I sat down and offered a beverage. A short time later my order was taken. The food arrived hot and fresh.Seller performance from the kitchen. Jim the owner and Nicole both sauntered over and visited with me.Next was the musician, Trent Bergeron. A piano player and vocalist. Just plain entertaining. Always tip your musicians!

I never give reviews but feel I need to warn my fellow humans. We arrived with a table of 9 at 7:30p to a fairly empty restaurant. We waited until 9:30 our food never came; we left and went to Zorbaz. All the while we were there the owner was friendly at the bar with buddies, unaware of what was happening. I want to support the local business but that was unacceptable. Mr. Walker … I think it takes more than watching HGTV to run a restaurant. Good luck on your next adventure.
