i’m a regular here. i love this dairy queen, it’s the best out of all the dairy queen’s in the fargo/moorhead area because they got the old school menu with hot dogs and bbqs. wanted to make a review because i was a few cents short and i didn’t get her name but the girl who took my order covered the few cents for me which i appreciated a ton. always have wonderful food and service at this location.

Now this is a Dairy Queen! The old school ones are so much cooler than the new modern ones. It’s a true representation of a mid western experience. Had my first Dilly bar too!

Iconic Moorhead Dairy Queen. Privately owned so they can control their own menu, but they still have classic DQ offerings. Only outdoor seating but they open early in the spring and stay open late in the fall. Busy on summer evenings. Staff are friendly, service is efficient. Lots of large outdoor ice cream themed decorations.

Neat DQ but not in a great area and took 30 minutes of standing in line for a cone!

If you would like to feel you stepped back in time stop by this retro Dairy Queen in Downtown Moorhead, Minnesota. With the ability to sell its own creations along with some of the current staples all Dairy Queens have this DQ makes for a stop worth driving more than a few miles for.
Home of the original Dilly Bar and to my knowledge the only Dairy Queen that serves it in its original form and wrapper you won't be disappointed. Well, that is, unless you stop in November - February when it is closed because it is outdoors only.
Parking: Shares the parking lot with Walgreens.
Kid-friendliness: This Dairy queen is kid friendly, I mean what kid doesn't like ice cream, but you do need to keep an eye on your children because this Dairy Queen is on a fairly busy often congested corner.
