Had the chance to check out Sandwich King in Mounds View and this spot did not disappoint. I tried their chicken mac and cheese shawarma and that was hands down my favorite item. Me and my brother both loved it when we stopped in. The flavor combo was crazy in the best way and it really stood out on the menu.
I also tried the king bowl which had a mix of flavors that made it a really unique and satisfying dish. It gave a nice balance of savory and fresh. The Philly cheesesteak and fries were solid too. The sandwich was packed with flavor, fresh to order, and had great portion size. The gyro was another hit. It was fire and definitely a decent size. You really get your bang for your buck at this spot.
We also grabbed milkshakes and they were amazing. My brother had the Baja Blast milkshake and I had the mango milkshake made with mangoes imported straight from Egypt. That milkshake was on point and super refreshing.
The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the vibe inside was clean and chill. There’s a decent amount of seating and the parking lot was stress-free. Easy in and out which is always a plus.
All in all, this spot is a win. The food is flavorful, the prices are reasonable compared to other spots in the Twin Cities, and the overall experience was great. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

The Mac and Cheese Shwarma wrap was the bomb! The sauce is where it’s at. A cute family owned restaurant with such a friendly and welcoming woman working at the register! Fairly cheap as well! Definitely worth the try if looking for something new.

I don’t usually review but this place is so chill. My gf loved the food and the mango smoothie was so good. The use actual mangos in it instead of some overly sweet syrup imitation. Really nice place and the staff are friendly.

I had interactions with one of the family members at the counter, and she was so nice and welcoming! I really enjoyed the chicken shawarma today bt can't wait to stop back for a bowl.

This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT‼️ Sandwich King 👑 is every bit of the hype you need to hear about 🗣️From the moment I walked in the door I was reminded of the same culinary quality you know and love from growing up in or near Chicago 🏙️ but ducked off in Mounds View Ⓜ️innesota!!! I drove 50 minutes to try this highly spoken of restaurant!!! A place that has been around for over a decade 🗓️ That is quickly gaining recognition for its unique flavors and high quality tastes 🤤 The prices were on point and the service was speedy and kind 🫱🏼🫲🏽 Not the typical hurry and buy type staff! I asked questions, I asked for suggestions, and all of which were met with details and a smile 😬 My food was up and completed within 15 minutes ⏰ Talk about speedy!! There was ample seating for a well lit dining experience 🪑 I was on the run but quickly hit the breaks once the owner, Mira came out from the back to personally introduce herself and hand me the food 🍲 A personable and hard working business owner who takes time to lovingly prepare the food herself 🤯🤯 I felt like I lived in the neighborhood for years 🏡 Me being a very picky person when it comes to food 🍱 couldn’t say enough about everything that I tried once I got home 😊👌🏽 it was recommended by the staff at the counter to air fry the french fries at home for the best reheating experience, and that’s exactly what i did 😍😍 Most of the food was still warm by the time I made my drive back to the house so we’re talking FRESH FRESH 💦 The meat in the Mac & Cheese Shawerma was NEXT level!!! Off the grill taste and Smokiness ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️ The drinks i had didnt last long enough for me to get pictures of 🤷🏽♂️🧋So you know it was top tier as well 😬 I don’t often do food reviews anymore, but this place has inspired me!!! Like the terminator said, “I’ll be back” 🏃🏽♂️💨💨

I like when my food takes long to prepare. That means it's just not sitting around already made also most important cleanliness and customer service. The woman who helped me was magnificently nice and the restaurant was super clean. My two favorite sandwiches there is the macaroni burrito and the Philly cheese.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
