This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT‼️ Sandwich King 👑 is every bit of the hype you need to hear about 🗣️From the moment I walked in the door I was reminded of the same culinary quality you know and love from growing up in or near Chicago 🏙️ but ducked off in Mounds View Ⓜ️innesota!!! I drove 50 minutes to try this highly spoken of restaurant!!! A place that has been around for over a decade 🗓️ That is quickly gaining recognition for its unique flavors and high quality tastes 🤤 The prices were on point and the service was speedy and kind 🫱🏼🫲🏽 Not the typical hurry and buy type staff! I asked questions, I asked for suggestions, and all of which were met with details and a smile 😬 My food was up and completed within 15 minutes ⏰ Talk about speedy!! There was ample seating for a well lit dining experience 🪑 I was on the run but quickly hit the breaks once the owner, Mira came out from the back to personally introduce herself and hand me the food 🍲 A personable and hard working business owner who takes time to lovingly prepare the food herself 🤯🤯 I felt like I lived in the neighborhood for years 🏡 Me being a very picky person when it comes to food 🍱 couldn’t say enough about everything that I tried once I got home 😊👌🏽 it was recommended by the staff at the counter to air fry the french fries at home for the best reheating experience, and that’s exactly what i did 😍😍 Most of the food was still warm by the time I made my drive back to the house so we’re talking FRESH FRESH 💦 The meat in the Mac & Cheese Shawerma was NEXT level!!! Off the grill taste and Smokiness ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️ The drinks i had didnt last long enough for me to get pictures of 🤷🏽♂️🧋So you know it was top tier as well 😬 I don’t often do food reviews anymore, but this place has inspired me!!! Like the terminator said, “I’ll be back” 🏃🏽♂️💨💨

I like when my food takes long to prepare. That means it's just not sitting around already made also most important cleanliness and customer service. The woman who helped me was magnificently nice and the restaurant was super clean. My two favorite sandwiches there is the macaroni burrito and the Philly cheese.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not sure why, but this place has the best gyros by far I've ever had. Every time I eat here they seam to get better.

If you've lived in Philly, you might be disappointed by their cheese steaks. It was greasy and had decent flavor, but not as good as it could be. It might scratch that Philly itch better than Dominos or Subway can, though. They seem most proud of their Gyro and Shawarma, so I'd sooner recommend you try one of those to be honest.
Paid $13 for what was pictured, which is a bit pricy. Store is fairly small but clean. Had a ~10-minute wait as 2 customers were ahead of me. They seem to run a small crew, maybe even just one or two people. Might be a longer wait if it's busier.
Vegetarian options: I'm personally not vegetarian so I'm not sure if it's a "large" selection but there are options, and it is very clearly written if it's vegan / vegetarian.
Parking: It's a strip so there's plenty of parking. The food shelf next door can be quite busy, so you might need to park along the side or down the strip a bit.

I recently visited Sandwich King of Mounds View for lunch and was quite impressed with both the service and the quality of the meal. I selected the Lunch Combo with the King Gyro, and it did not disappoint—deliciously prepared with prompt service. The staff member at the counter was exceptionally courteous and provided a comprehensive explanation of the menu options, enhancing the dining experience. Although the food and service were commendable, the cleanliness of the front counter could be improved with more regular cleaning and sanitizing. Overall, a positive experience that encourages a return visit.

Don’t let the strip mall appearance fool you! The girl who took our order was very sweet and recommended their three most popular sandwiches which were the Hot Italian, Gyro, and Chicken Shawarma. We ordered one of each and they were all fantastic! Quality meat, good bread, and rich flavor. Warning: the Hot Italian has a BIG kick!! Overall very impressed with both the food and the service, and we will be back!

The fire gyro is a burst of flavor! An absolute mess to eat, but delicious to the last bite. Fresh veggies and soft pita were delicious! Not recommended for a road trip meal, but otherwise give it a go!

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich & breaded mushrooms. I give 0 stars for the sandwich. The only positive thing I can say about it is that the bread was soft. However, the meat was sooo salty and it was very greasy, it made the bread soggy. I could not finish it and threw the rest away. The highlight was the breaded mushrooms, (5 stars). They were excellent, also the sauce that accompanied them was good. The service was nice/friendly. The wait time was also good. If your looking for a good Philly cheesesteak skip this place. They may have other menu items that are good like the breaded mushrooms.
