I ordered the vegetable pho expecting it to actually be vegetarian. Instead, I kept finding chunks of chicken in my bowl. When I brought it up, I was told everything is boiled in the same pot and that’s just how it’s made. That is incredibly misleading. If you do not offer a true vegetarian option, it should NOT be on the menu as “vegetable pho.”
On top of that, instead of apologizing, I was told that “next time I should let the workers know I’m vegetarian” because many people order vegetable pho without being vegetarian. That’s unacceptable. It is not the customer’s responsibility to double-check if a dish labeled vegetable actually contains meat.
This was very disappointing and honestly disrespectful. If a restaurant cannot provide a real vegetarian option, they need to be upfront and transparent on the menu so people don’t waste their time or violate their dietary choices.

I had a really disappointing experience at Pho 400. My friend and I had ordered the vegetable pho, assuming like most pho places that it would be vegetarian-friendly. When we realized it actually contained chicken, we brought it up. Instead of simply clarifying, the male employee was passive-aggressive and condescending, making my friend feel stupid for even asking.
On top of that, we were told that the vegetables are boiled in the same oil and pots as the meat and chicken — so if you’re vegetarian, this is definitely not the place for you.
The way we were treated left a bad taste in our mouths, and the lack of consideration for vegetarian customers makes it even worse. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back.
The picture is of the vegetable pho having chicken. There was no point of it being vegetable pho if it had chicken, vegetarian or not there shouldn’t be chicken in a plate where you didn’t ask for a chicken pho! The lack of knowledge that passive aggressive guy has is horrible. Not how you treat customers and expect a tip. Made my friend not pay for the pho but were still so rude and unwelcoming.
Never coming here again. Discriminatory.

This is my go to pho place!! I’ve moved around the twin cities a bunch and have tried many pho places, but I always find a way to go here. The broth in the pho is very rich you could have it without all the condiments in there. The cream cheese wontons are also the best!!! They are FILLED with cream cheese and you can taste they are made fresh. The sauce to go with it is soooo good as well! The staff is always friendly and nice! The food also comes out super quick! The atmosphere is very homey and relaxed! Definitely recommend to go here if you can!
