Sweet River is one our family’s favorite places! We love the food, and all of the amazing coffee and sweets. Not only that but their cakes have been a huge hit for birthdays.
Besides all of the yumminess we love the people and the vibe. Always cheerful and welcoming, even with my passel of children.

We were staying in the area at an air bnb and were looking for a place we could have some coffee and a roll or baked items and also wanted to have some outdoor seating as we had a dog along on our trip. We found this place online unsure if there was a patio but it had the other things we wanted and figured we could eat at a park if need. This place was so inviting and staff were kind. We sat on the patio and they served us and even brought our pup a bowl of water and a little snack. Great espresso drinks wonderful caramel roll and scones. they had some great menu items too so we couldn't resist sharing a couple and they were delicious as well. We brought home some baked mini goodies for later and also delicious. also really loved our waitress. 10/10 recommend

The food is so yummy here! For drinks I definitely recommend an ice chai tea latte or dirty chai latte! Cozy spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is great!
This restaurant and the owners are absolutely amazing and such a blessing! My husband, son and I are from Colorado, but come to Spicer and New London every summer. It is our favorite restaurant. Today, we stopped in for lunch. I saw that they had wonderful cupcakes. I inquired about the price for my daughter’s “Celebration of Life” coming up. A few minutes later, the owner came over and told me they wanted to gift us cupcakes for the celebration. I was so humbled and deeply touched by their heartfelt kindness and generosity. Sometimes in life you come across people who are living examples of God’s goodness and kindness….not to mention delicious food! Thank you so much for being that for us in this difficult and fragile time in life! ?❤️
