El Tequila Mexican Restaurant - New Prague

Terrible experience with staff that was more interested in getting people out the door by 9pm. At 8:40pm they said I’d have to take fried ice cream to go since they closed at 9pm. The pricing for our meal didn’t reflect the specials that we had and when I asked about that, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. I’ll never be back despite going there for many years.

Food is plentiful and delicious as always. The salsa is exceptional.

It’s decent food but the service is usually awful. That’s the main reason for the 2 star rating. Go there all the time and routinely ignored. Tip 20% all the time (I don’t know why) they still ignore me. Inattentive and unfriendly. It’s not like I have high expectations. I like my water to be refilled. You have to ask though. Frequently I have to get up and find my own condiments and they look at you with this bizarre concern on their face then continue ignoring you. Years ago a family member of the owner tragically passed away do I donated $50 to help with the funeral costs. I would normally never bring that up but I do so to underscore the fact that I’m not some a-hole with outrageous expectations. I’m a patron that tips %20 who’d like his water refilled without needing to get up and flag someone down. Basically I only go there because they’re the only show in town. If a competitor ever arrives they’ll never see me again.

The quality of the food has gone down tremendously with the rising cost of meals. My hard shell taco was stale and cold. We also got a soft shell taco and the shell was so stale that it was hard. The food should not be cold especially if we are the only ones there, and we waited for half an hour for cold food. If I could have given zero stars for service,I would have. Our waitress was terrible she never checked on our table and had an attitude. When we asked her for a high chair, she couldn't be bothered to get one. Our waitress also argued with us when we let her know that she had gotten our order wrong. We were also the only ones in the restaurant at the time. When we first came in she said that she had just mopped, but there was no wet floor sign anywhere to be seen, which is a legal requirement to have. Our server seemed to be to foucused on watching the tv instead of doing her job. Every time we go we hope to have better service and food, but it's the opposite. The food gets worse and is always cold, and the service is non-existent. This used to be our favorite place to eat, but after our experience yesterday we will not be returning. Don't waste your money here unless you like bad service and cold food.

I love their food and the take out service is always very fast. One of my favorites is the chimichanga, with white sauce. YUM!

Food was gross the tortillas were frozen and just threw some meat in there and called it a burrito the cheese made puke it out tasted old. The waitress was rude not a kid friendly place never again.

Really really like this place. The food was amazing service was excellent fast and all around was a great dinner. We will be back. The menu is extensive and offers something for every one. Very authentic and priced very reasonably. Had a watermelon margarita and it was one of the best margaritas I've ever had and was huge . We will be back for sure !
