While our service was wonderful, this restaurant really needs some love put into it. The food was incredibly mediocre (at best) and it all felt very dated, old and musty.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere!!
I asked for a yummy cocktail similar to an espresso martini, and Katie made me a white chocolate martini and it was DELICIOUS!!!! I wish they would add it to the menu. Seriously incredible. It was such a great experience overall, will be coming back when we come to New Ulm! 💗

We have been waiting to go here for a long time. We finally can't through the area when it was open. It was well worth the wait.

Since I come from a French family, I'm largely unfamiliar with German food. I knew that I didn't like rye bread, and I didn't like sauerkraut, so I wasn't expecting to like my meal here as much as I did. The schnitzel had a lovely buttered toast flavor, crispy with a subtle hint of lemon. The red cabbage was sweet and delicious, the beer cheese soup was fantastic, and the pretzel was what you would expect. The German mustard options surprised me and I enjoyed them immensely. If you're in New Ulm for Oktoberfest or any other reason, this is a fantastic place to stop.

Always a great stop when in New Ulm to complete the German immersion with great food and Schell's beer on tap.

Great German Restaurant. They specialize in German food, but have many other items if you want. Highly recommended their Combo Plate, which has a brat, landjauger, sauerkraut and German potato salad.
What a wonderful experience. I came by myself and sat at the bar. The employees were very friendly. The sauerkraut balls were high recommended and I must say they were great. I was planning on ordering the Schnitzel in this very German restaurant but heard how their ribs had made them famous and they really were excellent. They have a fairly large menu and I would love to try many other dishes!

Disappointing. Waitresses were crabby. It took 1.5 hrs to get our food. My Weiner schnitzel was tough as leather. My sister in laws food was cold. It was not a good experience.

We needed something to eat, and George's didn't open til 4. This place was amazing 30 years ago, but not so much now. Bar area was dirty, food was meh and wait staff was indifferent about us being there. This was the 2nd time in a year that we ate there, and won't return.

Did lunch here. Very traditional German fare of schnitzel and potatoes. Food came quick, well portioned and tasted outstanding. Service was timely and friendly. Worth a stop or even a drive to enjoy such authentic fare!
Great place for excellent German food.
