Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Ordered at 6:38, food was ready for pick-up by 6:45.... The food was cold, and the brisket was very, very fatty. Not happy and certainly not for the price. Probably will not return. I recommend Famous Daves in Forest Lake, the environment is fun, food is hot, and the service is attentive.

Ordered pull pork and brisket and pecan pie with a side of bbq sauce for pickup. Got one slice of brisket and then some burnt up bark. Pulled pork portion was small. They forgot the pie and bbq sauce. So $17ish for a bite of brisket and some pulled pork.

We were there @ 4:00 and ordered a 2 meat plate w Mac and cheese and fries. They were out of Mac so ordered baked beans. We also ordered the fried chicken with gravy. They were out of that so did the country fried steak. Get home and we are missing 2 of our sides, I open up the gravy for the steak and there’s maybe 2 teaspoons in there. I took a bite of the gravy before taking a pic but it shows what they gave.

The food could not have been worse. I feel bad as I'm sure it was because they have no business so it sits there forever. I ordered a loaded baked potato and it was so overcooked it was inedible. I've never had a baked potato like that. Unfortunately all our food was pretty bad so we won't be back.

We were so excited that Dickeys reopened but unfortunately my baked potato was lukewarm at best, my cheese didn’t even melt. Flavors were good, the pork was chopped a little too fine. The kids Dino nuggets weren’t anything special unfortunately, maybe add more options like one meat and one side.

On 11/13/24 we had them cater our lunch at our clinic. GREAT FOOD! Excellent customer service and we were very impressed with everything. I highly recommend this Dickey’s for catering!

Awesome Food

We should have read the reviews before we stopped. I have been to Dickey's before and wanted to bring somebody that had never been there before. I'm sorry I did. While the staff was very pleasant and the aroma in the restaurant was very pleasing, The food was very disappointing. For $28.00, (1st pic is before we took any bites) Portions were very small and everything was lukewarm at best. This seems to be the theme running through most of the reviews for this store. They do catering but I don't think I would trust the food. The mac and cheese was very bland there was no bacon in the beans with bacon. The chicken was very dry. I will say that the brisket tasted very good had a good bark and smoke line and the pulled pork was pretty flavorful. The bread was nothing. I keep seeing responses to bad reviews about coming back to make it right. We won't be back.

This was the worst BBQ I have ever had. Add that to the amount of flies that surround you while eating, this place needs to be shut down or extensively cleaned. They were out of baked potatoes during the dinner rush. Staff was mostly young kids that were nice but should not be running a food establishment. Skip this place there are plenty of other places in the area.

Well, it's not South Texas BBQ, but not bad for Norskys, staff friendly, nice little place, super clean restroom.

Horrible service, lost our order took over 35 minutes to get our food, when we did they were out of fries. Then it was stone cold. Their response? I can get u the owners number. Nope I am an hour from home. Ate here before with a great experience, but not again after today.
