We had the best time floating the Sunrise River! When we arrived to register, we were amply prepared for the somewhat "rough" conditions we may experience, as there was a storm days prior. We were given lots of tips and were told everyone would be required to wear a life jacket (free of charge) just to be safe.

The entry point was a short walk from where we registered and picked-up our tubes. It was easy enough to get in the river (a little chilly but not bad!). The current was fast that day, we made it down the river in about 1.5 hours, but it was so fun. Maybe just a little expensive for such a short trip.

The first half was pretty chill, just had to dodge some fallen trees. The second half was more adventurous with lots of small rapids! The shuttle was waiting for us when we reached the end point. It was also easy enough to get out of the river.

Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures, as we opted not to take our phones, but the river was beautiful! We would absolutely return! Thank you!!

Really fun day! Nice staff registered us and gave us plenty of advice. You get your tube and walk 5 minutes to the start. It took us an hour and a half i think to go down. The river is on the higher side right now so it runs faster. Plenty of action with a few rapids and going around fallen trees, which made it fun for us. The end is tricky though. A fallen tree is right before the end and you have to go around it and veer to the left immediately after to get to the stairs. If you don't, the current is fast and you get to get off farther down but you then have to walk back to the parking lot where the shuttle is waiting. The ride back is fast.
Overall a great experience, just wish the end was easier access.

So many rocks and fallen trees that it's hard to enjoy the tubing. You have to walk with your tube's, coolers and kids a ways to get on the river. Very expensive for the experience. Much better tubing options out there that are more comfortable, cheaper and they transport you so you're not walking with all your stuff!

We were excited to find a tubing place on the Sunrise. The lady working the desk was very friendly. We had a great time on the river, but after going down I don’t know if anyone working there has much experience actually tubing the river. I’d say the prices are pretty high, considering they only pick you up after and it’s not even 2 miles away. They give you strict instructions that you can only stop and burn a half hour. When people tube down a river they normally want it to be an afternoon or even all day event. The township should also really work with this establishment to have a smoother entry at the park. Walking with coolers and younger kids with all your tubes to the park is kind of a pain.

A couple friends and I went this past week because Cannon River (Welch) was closed due to high water.
-The lady that ran the place was welcoming.
-You cannot bring your own tubes.
-Life-jackets are included but not mandatory.
-It’s about 2 hours to get to the end.
-You walk about 3 blocks with your tubes to get in the river at the start and then at the end the shuttle picks you up.
-There are a good amount of rapids and rocks so it is crucial to wear good shoes. There are a handful of trees on the float so be mindful of that. Part of the fun is navigating those things so it’s a personal preference that I didn’t mind it. It may be a dealbreaker for some.
-Even though we have had a lot of rain this season, the river was still very shallow in about 1/3 of the float so I can’t imagine if the river was “low” in a season with little rain.
-Overall, the water was pretty clean I have to say. There are some areas that smelled worse than others but it’s a river so it should be expected.
-They do take your car keys as collateral for the tubes and return them to you when you get back.
-The reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because it’s quite dangerous trying to get out at the end. The rocks are slick. There is no dock or anything to grab on to help you and your tubes get out of the water. There is a missing stair and my friend fell twice.
All in all, I would go back because it was very low key and enjoyable. I just hope the owner and/or city create a more safe way to exit the river at the end.

My husband and I recently went river tubing through Sunrise Tubing. It was his first river tubing experience, as it was his birthday gift. I assumed that the Sunrise River was going to be calm with some current, but I was pleasantly surprised that the ride encompassed both serene and adventure!! I personally thought the rapids made our experience much more thrilling and fun!! My spouse agreed; he wants to go again! Yes, you have to pay attention to avoid some tree branches, and the large rocks, but it’s all part of the experience!!
I had previous experience on a different river, so I thought I knew what to expect, but I was surprised with the unknown on a ever-changing river, which made for extra excitement! Although my tube got stuck on some shallow rock a couple of times, I thought that made it even more fun since I was looking for a thrill! The scenic view of nature was what we expected—beautiful!!
I wore water shoes and insect repellent which I thought was wise. Patti, who operates the business, is both a gem and thorough! Her coworker Wayne was also helpful in gathering our tubes and shuttling us back to the site. My husband’s friend is actually going to be taking his family there this weekend to have some fun! Tubing on the Sunrise River was close to home, it was a blast, and the staff was very courteous and fun to talk to! Highly recommend!!! Thank you, Patti and Wayne!

The hours on Google said 12-8pm. We drove out there to find out the hours were actually 11-4:30 and they were closed when we arrived. Fix your hours online so people don't waste their day for nothing!

This place is definitely NOT closed. If you want a fun day with friends on a great river, visit these folks and take a float!

Well, she has good old Bridgemans Icecream in there. And beverages. And of course Tubing down the Sunrise River! I never went down it, but my grandkids and their friends have and loved it! Unfortunately now, both things have stopped for the summer. It used to be a bar/restaurant and she (owner) made the best pizzas! And it's an OLD cozy little place. All of what I said I speak with honesty. Even though this is my sister's (Patricia/Patty's) business which she bought from my Uncle Roger, (Dad's brother). He had it for many, years! It's an old bank, which gives it an interesting history. I'm so very happy that my sister has kept this business going so well over the years! She's a friendly, outgoing and funny person. Come join the fun next summer! She'll be glad to serve you, all things going well. God bless everyone!

Had some fun. Just keep your butt up when your on the tub there some big rocks

Bury me here! This was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m not blowing smoke up your butt. I would not change a thing. The ownership is beyond kind. She’s a sincere sweetheart and deeply cares about the experience you have. Unfortunately, the height of the river is out of her control. Nature is awesome tho. High or low river, it’s an adventure. If you don’t want to wear water shoes, and dodge the occasional branch, if getting your butt up isn’t fun, go to a pool. If you want to experience a serene float, in beautiful nature, with great service, choose here. Do this float. 10/10 recommend. Will 10% be coming back. They thought of it all, folks.

The ice cream was wonderful and the lady behind the counter was simply splendid to be to service to us

Even though the river was too low to tube today, the owner Patti was there to greet me with a discount on my next visit, after the rain, when the river will be wild again!
