First off it was just an ok room. The bed was a little hard and there was no extra toilet tissue and a black blob of hair in the shower. Not worth the price. then have to pay 17 for breakfast buffet. That’s not worth it eithier. you’re pretty much paying for muffins and eggs. No selection really, The best part of the hotel is the staff two front desk ladies they were amazing. I had a great time playing with the French bulldog. She was so cute. I didn’t want to leave her.
Delicious farm to table. Went for brunch and got a handful of family style sharing plates. Also bomb cocktails.
It's just a worn down hotel now. Not like the past. Pot holes in parking lot, furniture in the lobby has holes and completely worn out. Empty snack shop, room had no wi-fi. Finally moved on 3rd day of a 4 day stay for business. New room had tiles missing. Looks like no investment being made at this location.
Our TV didn’t work (we weren’t the only ones and front desk was unable to do anything about it), there were no pool towels (when we asked for some they said they didn’t have any more), there was no bartender on Friday night, and no cook Saturday morning (so our two “free” breakfast vouchers were useless). The staff themselves were extremely unprofessional - For example: Thursday night the person at the front desk actually told us that she wanted a shot of alcohol because our kids were irritating her, and one of the staff working breakfast Friday morning had a shirt on that read “nope.”, make her extremely unapproachable. I didn’t even want to ask her for water. The elevators sounded and felt like they would break down at any moment. The ice machine on our floor didn’t work. They don’t even make minor repairs - The ottoman in our room was falling apart at the seams and the plastic cover of the advertisement in the elevator was broken and cracked.
Got tubs and pools are a high priority. We asked prior to checking in on our Hilton app and was given the okay that they were open (there is another Hampton directly next door). The hot tub was open but pool was closed. No manager on duty. The person that checked us in was the only employee we saw the entire time we were here. Bar was closed, no happy hour, pool closed. I thought about going in the hot tub but everything was do filthy I just left. Continental breakfast was old fruit with dried breads and bagels. It really was not a place to stay. If they ever get help back in force, they're going to have to hire a whole cleaning crew just to get this place back up properly.
The furniture in the room was worn and dirty. I have pictures if you wish to see them. One of the doors under the sink was missing. There were several scratches and dents in the wall. the door to the room when you let it close would not lock unless you gave it a strong shove or pull.
Oh boy. Hilton!!! Help a hotel out! We stayed here for one night and I seriously was so disappointed. Room 208. Mold and brown stuff on the bathroom ceiling. Our bathtub was peeling, and the gym needs a complete upgrade. This is not up to Hilton standards. Ugh!!
I have no idea how this hotel is #1! The property is aging and was not very clean… hallway carpets were disgusting and stained. The pool was freezing. When we went to eat breakfast, the tables were dirty and full of crumbs from previous diners. The breakfast was basically a light continental. At other garden inns, breakfast is served restaurant style. Thankful it was included in our rate because was definitely not worth the $12. Also the walls are thin and doors close extremely loud. Both nights our family was up from 12:30-2:30 due to our neighbors being loud and going back and forth between rooms constantly. We have stayed at the Hampton Inn next door and our experience there was so much better. I booked the garden inn for our trip because the rates were cheaper and garden inns are usually a step up from hamptons. Never again! This was probably the worst Hilton hotel experience I’ve had, and I’ve stayed at many as an honors member.
The two men working were 2 weeks and 3 days new. Both were doing an amazing job!! I‘be worked in the hospitality sector and it’s frustrating when you don’t really remember how to do certain steps. Keep up the good work guys!
When looking for a place to stay in the Oakdale, MN area I recommend passing on this property. This property was dirty, poorly managed/maintained, understaffed and certainly overpriced for the quality. Every aspect of the property shouts poor maintenance from the overhanging tree blocking the walking path leading to the entrance to the crumbling outdoor brick column, broken air-conditioning (it felt like a sauna throughout the hotel), broken ice machines, broken hot tub, broken laundry facilities, non-working satellite TV...the list goes on. The list for decent or functioning qualities would be much shorter. We were thrilled to leave at the end of our 5 night stay! Our first room was so terrible we were switched to a new room. The first room was freezing when we first arrived, and by next morning the air-conditioning was no longer functioning. The satellite TV was broken and staff attempted to fix it, but it quickly stopped working again. The sink was clogged and the maintenance worker attempted to fix it, but was unable to and literally left the sink non-functioning without making us aware first. The shower handle was installed backwards and also only half switched from the tub mode, so the pressure was awful. The drawers on the cabinet were extremely difficult to open and close. We were even woken at 5:45 am with a wake-up call from Christmas Eve (6 months ago!). Apparently they don't even make wake-up calls any longer, but this one has been happening on repeat for 6 months! Our second room functioned properly, but still left much to be desired. The promised amenities and things you come to expect at Hilton properties are not available at this location. Hotel bar/restaurant was closed and the $12 breakfast was terrible and self-serve with dirty utensils and very poor quality buffet or cold style food that was very rarely refreshed. Kitchen staff was not-helpful and rude! Many of the issues we reported such as the broken ice maker and laundry facilities were met with empty promises from staff that openly expressed their own disappointment with this property (but the lack of support from management to actually correct). Even with our expressed disappointment all we were given was 1 free breakfast voucher!!! Their small staff tried to be helpful, but all seemed miserable and unhappy to be here and it seemed they had a single maintenance worker responsible for way too many issues. The front desk worker was actually folding towels on the breakfast tables each evening. It really was filthy everywhere you looked and it looks like it has been years since anything has been re-painted or carpets or bedding has been replaced or thoroughly cleaned. I barely ever saw any actual cleaning staff. Since housekeeping is not provided until after 4 nights (although we never had any housekeeping) the 2 itty bitty trash cans they provide in the rooms are overflowing and then clearly people take their own trash out the the main cans by the elevator. But those didn't appear to be emptied often either as they were always overflowing. There were 3 week old weather reports outside of all the elevators. They were finally removed, but not replaced with updated weather printouts. Overall, it was a miserable stay and I will not ever return to this property. There is clearly an owner/management issue that will require some major internal changes before any corrections are made. I won't risk it again! Shame on them and shame on Hilton for not stepping up to hold this owner accountable.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. The 1st time I chalked everything up to covid. 6 months later I stayed again and and nothing had changed. The hot tub was out of order in December and then still out of order in May. The garbage cans in the lobby and outside were overflowing during our whole stay . The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage from the room upstairs (May 2022 visit). I expect more from a Hilton property.
Hotel staff was helpful-quality of the property poor. The Direct TV never worked, even after staff tried to fix. They were also understaffed. Poor breakfast: no oatmeal, coffee, or milk. The eggs very well done and very dry. Room and bathroom doors barely worked-they would not shut without really pushing or pulling. We’re Diamond status and have stayed at many Hilton properties. I would pass on this one.
I got my hotel from suitness.com and I paid them before showing up to the hotel and they tried to tell me I could not check in because they had not gotten paid from the third party yet. That is not my problem nor should it have spoken about to me. very unprofessional.
If you’re looking for comfort and the Love you’re missing from being home, this is the place to stay. You are treated with the most respect and caring people. You are family. That’s how much they care about you and your stay while in their care. They will make you Sparkle ??? Twinkle ????????? And Shine ?????????? Like The Stars That We All Are????????????????????
We were aware that the website did not list "Free Hot Breakfast" as an included amenity. However, at the front desk is a sign that says "Breakfast 6am-10am". At check-in we were told, "Breakfast is 6 am to 10 am". And NOWHERE neither at the breakfast buffet area nor at the front desk area does it indicate that there is a charge for using the buffet. All signs pointed to "free hot breakfast". Nope. We were surprised with an extra $21.32 charge for breakfast on our credit card after we checked out. A bit of advice to Management: Be upfront with your guests about the breakfast situation. Your current setup appears to be a free buffet. No one wants to be surprised with an unexpected charge for a mediocre breakfast. If we'd known we were going to be charged for your limited offerings, we would have gone out to a real restaurant for breakfast. Oh, we were also given a room with two bathrooms, but only one functioning toilet. We will be back in Minnesota in October. We will NOT be staying here again.
