we have been looking time guests at the village of izatys for almost 15 years, and we have never had any major issues when utilizing the the resorts pool and hot tub until this year. We stayed over the weekend of July 26-29 and used the pool. The pool was a murky green color and couldn't see the bottom of the pool. It was the worst I have ever seen the pool in all the years I have been there. The pool light was sitting on the side of the pool where kids could trip on it. And Sunday night my son started getting a fever and severe diarrhea that lasted a few days along with a few of the other kids that were swimming with us. The kids did ingest the pool water as they would dive under water and jump in and since they were all 7 and under they do get done water in there mouths. yes we told them not to ingest the water but it happens. and all symptoms were the same for the kids that ingested pool water. On Monday they closed the pool and did not open the rest of the week while my family was there. this was the worst experience we have had there and no answers as to why the pool was so murky.

Our family has been coming to Izaty’s for nearly 20 years. We are excited to see all the updates and changes that the new ownership is making to the resort in 2024! Lots of amenities are finally back including restored golf courses, clubhouse dining & updated pool area.

I took my mom here for her birthday and had one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we had in our lives! The calamari was delightful and fresh tasting, the snapper was great, but the real star was the steak and mushroom pasta! It was amazing and so worth it! Who knew you could eat so good in this part of the country!! My mom got the flourless chocolate torte for dessert which was sublime! The service was amazing! Our waiter was amazing and so attentive! We will definitely be back!!

Four of us went out for dinner in a Saturday, we were staying in a rented unit on site. Sat down for dinner around 630 or so. Service was kinda slow but we didn’t really have concerns with that. Our drinks were ok. Appetizers were yummy. But all of four of us did not enjoy our entrees. The crab cake po boy was terrible, did not taste like a crab. The mashed potatoes were terrible. Broccoli with the steak meal was wilted, steak was cold, and rice was hard. Fries were good.Overall very disappointed in the food! It was convenient to eat there but we definitely wouldn’t again.

We have been going here 12 years now as a group of friends and enjoy the hotel, restaurant and Golf course. It’s a full service resort just 1.5hrs from the cities. This year I enjoyed staying at the resort and visiting 3 times. Highly recommend it and the food at the restaurant on site is delicious!

Great food. Well prepared and tasty. Gluten-free options available. The salad included spinach, very fresh and crisp greens with a flavorful vinaigrette. Server Leif was delightful and apologized for delay of food. It took time for the food to be cooked and served , but it could be because that we were first ones there. But definitely a stellar meal.

One of my top 3 worst dining experiences of my life. Waited over 2 hours for food, spoke to several managers and still only received half of our food and barely an apology. I am very understanding of being short staffed, or making errors, but having an attitude of not caring and giving lame excuses is not okay. I have worked in restaurants and the way this was handled was unprofessional and quite disappointing. I would never ever return, nor would I recommend anyone to eat here. Don’t even get me started on the flavorless, cold food.

It's 80 degrees all memorial weekend and pool isn't open. Food has gotten super fancy/expensive with new cooks every year and it isn't better than their old menu. Food took over an hour to arrive at 8pm. Ceaser salad didnt have ceasar dressing.Alfredo pasta didnt have alfredo.Hours are not reliable as they close at 9pm instead of staying open until midnight as there website/hours state. Used to be 5 stars. Rating 2 cause I hope there's still potential

The room was ok but definitely not worth the $200.00 price tag. No mini fridge or microwave. Musty hot hallways and dirty windows. Restaurant was not open for breakfast (Labor Day weekend!) so no food option in the morning. Customer service was awful. The front desk clerk could not answer any of our questions and did not offer to find out the answers. Just stated she didn't know to everything we asked. It became a running joke for us. Amenities listed included a bonfire. We asked and were told there is a gas fire "behind the hotel somewhere" and nobody knew how it worked. We found it, it was broken. I accidentally left an item worth $100 and called immediately to inquire about it. After 3 messages and 2 promises to locate the item and call me back, a week later I am still being ignored and I guess someone has kept my item. Definitely will never return!!
