The food quality is not what it used to be. I ordered a bacon chicken melt and the toasted bread was burnt and had to return it to be redone. The chicken breast was so small that it only covered 1/2 the sandwich. It was a disappointment and so sad to see this once great Mom and Pop restaurant going downhill.
When ever we are in Owatonna we stop at the Kernel to eat. Great food. My Dad was from Owatonna. Dad has passed we are down there a couple of times a year and we always stop. Great food and friendly staff.
Hands down the best experience i’ve ever had! The service was amazing! I didn’t get our waitresses name but she was the sweetest person ever! She even went out of her way to get me banana and peanut butter for my strawberry waffles. The steak was amazing. Was not expecting the steak to be cooked so well but it was perfect. High compliments to the chef and the staff at this place! I will be coming back.
