First time we have ever ate here and when we walked in we were not impressed with the place at all! Got a waiter that looked half asleep and like he didn’t wanna be there and also looked like he didn’t know what he was doing when he took our order !! We allmost went to Olivia’s for breakfast and now wish we would have !! Guess this place will get zero stars on service and food !!!

Good old cafe style, friendly service, good food! A great "throw-back" to cafes that I remember from years ago!Try it out if you're near Owatonna MN, you won't be disappointed!

Good food and friendly service. It is in the downtown area near hotels. Pancakes and French toast are terrific.

Waitress was super plesent. Food took a while to come out but I had my family of in from out of town making it a 6 top. However I wasn't expecting to pay upwards $21 per person for breakfast. The pricing made no sense when broken down. I don't know why a special would be 9.49 and the main menu item would be 8.50. Just wish the pricing would be more clear, especially since the place was at best a greasy spoon.

We had a party of six, two ordered a special which was $9.49 each, another ordered eggs bacon and hash brown that was cheaper than the special, two ordered a three egg omelette charged 1 1/2 the price another ordered a four egg omelette and charged us for two omelettes because they didn’t know how to charge, total bill with tip $130, very steep pricing. We are out of towners and not happy with being charged that much for breakfast because they didn’t know how else to do it. Extremely disappointed

We ate breakfast on a weekday with our picky 5 year old. He loved it. It is a quiet, simple, hometown diner. You wouldn't come here for the aesthetics but you would come here for a delicious breakfast at a great price! It was perfect and our food was made fresh and quick. I love their buttery pancakes with a little crisp on the edges! Yum!Added Review:We have gone several mornings now and continue to get excellent service...again if you want good service, food and prices this place is perfect. Yes, it's a little outdated, but we found the history of the building to be pretty fascinating.

Good simple food. It's a shame places like this are getting harder and harder to find. Small town feel like it would have been 50 years ago. I'll likely be back.Parking: Street parking only.

Our waitress was a doll, and the food was delicious. Great homey atmosphere!

We were playing tourists in town and needed a late (1-ish) lunch. The rush was over, and so it was a relaxing place to eat. A simple lunch menu met out needs (sorry, no picture of the lunch menu). Good location for us. Wait-staff was very good. All in all, a nice place for lunch. I bet breakfast is a hit here too.

We went here at noon time and not many people here. We were amazed that more local people don't eat here at noon time during the week. They serve great food and made to order. And, you don't pay the high prices. Cheaper and better than a fast food place, with more variety. More relaxing than a fast food place and about the same amount of time for a home cooked meal.
