The douglas lodge is by far the greatest establishment i’ve set foot in. beyond beautiful. I was taken aback by smokey the bear—truly a sight to beyond that bear. wow. The chefs really know what they’re doing back there. My meal was exceptional. I wanted to thank the cooks personally. We had the buffet and it had a lot of unique Minnesotan flavors, especially leaning into wild rice recipes. That was a fun experience. Also, the strawberry rhubard pie was very good.
We loved the lunch. It tasted amazing and would definitely recommend the wild rice soup.
We tried the new breakfast buffet and it's not half bad but still needs some improvements.
The view is super pretty and there are a ton of hummingbirds.
