If you want an incredible array of ice cream flavors to choose from that aren't Kemps (nothing wrong with Kemps, I just love expanding my ice cream horizons), are deliciously creamy, AND the best bang for your buck, you have GOT to check Minnesoda Fountain out ASAP!! ? We got a double cup, double waffle cone, and single cup, and were pleasantly surprised at just how much ice cream is scooped up! Plenty to share.... or not, if ice cream is your jam. ?

Finally got the chance to eat at The Fountain today, the service was phenomenal. The food was great and we left full!!! Love what the new owners have done to the place! Will definitely be back!

Nice little restaurant. Turkey sandwich had a lot of turkey on it and the chips were fresh and tasty, they had a bbq flavor. The pulled pork was more of an oven roasted pork sandwich. It didn’t have any smoke taste at all. It did have a little bbq sauce and it was a little cold. But the flavor was good. The cheese curds were a little greasy but tasted good. Overall it’s a good restaurant and worth a try.

Their ice cream is awesome esp their "bear" ice cream for kids. Thier black and blue sandwich is also extremely good. YUM!
Kid-friendliness: The bear ice cream option is great for kids!!!

Iconic ice cream shop in Park Rapids. Service was friendly, and the single scoop was the largest ever, and my wife hasn't stopped talking about her hand-crafted sundae. A must stop everytime traveling "up North".
Parking: Park Rapids is known for its unique parking option downtown. Feel free to park in the designated spaces in the middle of the street! No joke. In fact those spaces usually fill up first, so don't be surprised.

Very good food and ice cream choices. Service was great. We were happy to have found this place by accident as we drove through town. We definitely would recommend!

12 bucks for a loose, crumbly, dry pile of beef they call a hamburger. No fries or drink included. Service was slow for an 11:30 lunch.

Fantastic ice cream, a bunch of varieties, plus malts, shakes, and all the other ice cream goodies. Worth a stop if you’re passing through or want to take a break. Service was great and the staff was really friendly.

Was there today. II'm still in shock. They have totally destroyed a 100 year old piece of history. Anyone could buy a empty building and put in a new soda shop. A huge fire couldn't have destroyed it worse. No reason go back

I wish I could comment on the food. Just incredibly disappointed. We drove in while on vacation. All indications from the web are that this place serves food until 9pm. We showed up at 7:51pm and saw a sign on the door that said no food beyond 8pm. We were still turned away at 7:51pm despite all indications from the web they served food until 9pm. If you're planning to eat here come well before 8pm. I wish we could've had food here. We were super pumped to try it out. Incredibly disappointed to be turned away prior to the dining cutoff.

I stopped here for lunch and was very impressed! I was seated right away and even though it was very busy. The server was a really friendly young man who was working very hard running back and forth to keep up with the busy lunch rush.
I had the giant pretzel as an appetizer and was very impressed! I'm very picky about my pretzels and this one was phenomenal. It was thick, had a perfect chewy crust, and soft fluffy center. It came paired with a variety of dipping options, but the gouda cheese stole the show.
For my meal I had the chicken pesto sandwich and chips. The sandwich could've used a little more pesto, but I am a pesto lover and I'm sure they would have given some extra if I had asked. The chips were thick kettle style and had great flavor.
This is the best food I've had in the small Minnesota towns I've been in throughout this summer. Great food, friendly service, and fair prices. My only complaint is I'm thousands of miles from home and I want to know when you're opening a Floridasoda Fountain!

We recently visited Minnesoda Fountain multiple times on our family trip, and as always, it did not disappoint! Minnesoda Fountain has been a staple on our family vacations for the past 11 years, and we were thrilled to hear they were reopening with new owners. During our recent trip the week of the 4th of July, we had the pleasure of dining there multiple times.
On our first visit, my husband had the homemade coleslaw and the club sandwich, while I enjoyed the Main Street with fries. Our children all had the chicken strips and fries, which were a huge hit! The food was delicious.
We enjoyed our meal so much that we ordered the exact same thing on our second visit. We were pleasantly surprised that our meals tasted just as fantastic as they did the first time. Consistency in taste and quality is something we truly appreciate.
Both of our waiters, Preston and Megan, were awesome. They were attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The managers and owners made multiple stops at our table to check on us, which made us feel valued and welcomed.
To top off our meals, we indulged in ice cream. My boys tried four different flavors each and loved all of them. I really appreciate that there were dairy-free options for our little girl.
Overall, we loved all of our experiences at Minnesoda Fountain! We are excited to continue our tradition of visiting during our family vacations for years to come!

I’m sorry the new owners destroyed an icon! If you want ice cream you have to order 1/2 way down then stand up front to wait for your name to be called. Thus everyone standing by the door. I was looking forward to the malted ball at the end of cone but that was gone too. What’s the point in coming back? 2 other competitors within a block. Ambiance does make a difference.
