Think old school supper club meets a top rated chef.
We end every season at the lake by having dinner at the Y Steak House.
The prime rib is delicious and the salmon is incredible.
Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.

Lived in this area for 3 years now, first time trying this restaurant, and let me tell you!!! We ordered the PR Philly with fries, which reminded me of the French Dip, and the Y classic salad. I have missed out! This was absolutely delicious! Everything was sooooo good! Been to some amazing restaurants in NY and DC, but the prime rib at this place is top notch! Will definitely be back! ??

Our family ate at the Y Steak House recently. We’ve been eating there for the last several years during our annual fishing trip to the area.
We arrived around 5:00, which meant happy hour was still going (it’s from 4:00-5:30 evenings Monday through Friday). The restaurant has two main rooms, one of which is by the bar area.
Unfortunately, this evening most people were disappointed by their selections. On the positive note, those who had the fried chicken thought it was delicious. The skin was crispy and fried to perfection, trapping the moisture inside. Wonderful!
The salad that comes with entrees is always good. The dressings come on the side, and toppings include grapes, strawberry slices, carrot sticks, radishes, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers and more.
Each entree also includes a vegetable, and this evening, we had corn on the cob. Everyone who had the corn enjoyed it.
And now for the negatives from various individuals. The salmon was dry. Fortunately, there was a sauce to dip it in.
My son didn’t care for ribs at all. He thought they were dry and didn’t like the flavor of the sauce.
The potato skins were extra thick and over cooked, making them dry as well.
The prime rib sandwich got good reviews for the taste but came across as too fatty for a sandwich.
Service was good overall. We only had water to drink, but our server kept our glasses full.
Maybe it was an off night because they’ve been very good in the past. I’m sure we’ll try it again, but for this trip, we were disappointed.

We had a wonderful meal! Rilee was our watress and was attentive, even with it being very busy. The Lady Slipper drink was refreshing. Their garden salad with fresh made dressing was the best. Made with tons of veggies and fruit on it. Also came with a dinner roll. Our food was served fresh and hot. Highly recommended!

Went there last night for dinner. Place was packed but suggested we could sit at the bar. Katelyn was our waitress and did an outstanding job. We watched the staff worked very hard to provide great service. Food was fabulous. Husband had prime rib special. Cooked perfectly with a lot of seasoning to ruin the flavor of a good cut of meat. I had the Surf and Turf which was very good. We did not go away hungry. We will definitely be going back and will spread the word about the Y Steak House.
Our waitress, Quinn, was OUTSTANDING (1) Quinn knew the wine choices, special Menu Items of the Night, and she was warm and welcoming! However, after we finished eating and began to struggle down the hall, (2) Quinn went beyond being a Waitress!! My 86 year old wife was having super issues walking and getting out and to our car. Quinn jumped right in and took Alice's left hand with me on her right side. Without Quinn, I could not have gotten Alice to my car in your Handicapped Parking. Quinn is a "keeper", and she is her weight in Gold! Thanks so much. We will come again! Please thank her again for us! Del Holz, 16729 Jasmine Drive, Park Rapids, MN. 56470.

Food was excellent! Drinks were excellent especially during half price happy hour!? I asked for the Mexican Mule instead of the Moscow Mule and they made it beautifully! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Special was an entire plate of ribs with all the fixings and about as delicious as you can imagine! Full drink menu, friendly waitress and a very pleasing atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal.
Entrance is off of Hwy 71 not the north street.

I read some reviews and needed to try out this steak house in Park Rapids MN. We made 5:30 reservation for 5. Our table was ready. Service was excellent. Ordered fried walleye fillets. It came with the house salad, bread. Baked potatoes, carrots and fruit. The salad was and of the best I've had. Lettuce, broccolini, carrot stick and celery. Radish and cauliflower and croutons. With a strawberry and grapes. Homemade dressing. Delicious. Walleye was delicious and plentiful. Ir was special for $30. I would recommend this steakhouse/seafood restaurant.
