The service was great and I had no problems with the staff. However, when you go to a steak house there are certain expectations. This did not live up to any expectations of what a decent steak house would be. I was rather disappointed. The salad was the smallest salad I have ever had. The rolls were almost laughable due to another small portioning problem. My husband was deeply upset by the prime rib. I However did enjoy my top sirloin and corn on the cob! Overall this is a below par mediocre steak house. Nothing to brag about.

The service was quick. The staff was super friendly!! I had the walleye and it was AMAZING. Starting with the freshest salad and delicious warm dinner rolls. Everything was served hot. Not one negative thing to say. If I ever get back to Park Rapids I’ll be eating here again.I almost forgot….. chocolate cake for dessert was out of this world.

The garden salad was beautiful and fun wth a variety of veggies and surprise of a little fruit.The prime ribs was delicious as well as the corn on the cob. The Austin burger was loaded with cheese curds and burger was excellent.Service was great. Food was fresh , well presented and the whole meal was a delightful surprise with it's humble appearance.
The portion was good sized. They also had fresh sweet corn. I always enjoy their garden salad and fresh bread.

The Y steak house had amazing food and service. It's a cozy restaurant with an at home feel. The salad was so fresh there wasn't a wilted leaf in site! They make the dressing on site. The blue cheese was the best! We had the steak bites for an appetizer they were very tender and plated nicely. For our meals we had the Elmer steak and prime rib. Our daughter had the broiled shrimp, everything was cooked perfectly. We had a baked potato and hashbrowns for our sides both were fantastic! The meal portions were large enough to take some home. Pete the owner came and spoke to us since we are having our wedding dinner there in August. He is a very nice person who was happy to come chat with us. I would 100% recommend the Y steak house to everyone. Our only regret is that we didn't save room for dessert. Can't wait to be back in August!Kid-friendliness: The host even offered to keep an eye on our fussy toddler so we could finish our dinner!
