If you’d never been to the gathering grounds then you must live under a rock. From the moment you walk in, you know you’re in the right place. The atmosphere cultivated by the owner sets exceeds the standards for “Minnesota Nice”. You’re greeted by friendly smiling faces with the sweetest personalities. The menu, while slightly intimidating at first because of all the wonderful options, has something for everyone. Soups made just like mom’s and sandwiches made to perfection! The aroma of the coffee tantalizes your nose, makes you want them all. There is no bad choice, they will all wisk you back in time.
I cannot speak so highly of this place. You’ll pay a little bit more but I PROMISE you, it’s worth every single penny. So if you’re still under that rock, get your a** over to Gathering Grounds and try them. Never know, you might find “that’s my go to” place.

This is a such a cute coffee and sandwich shop! I love the atmosphere and service we get every time we stop in here! The coffee is always spot on as is the hot chocolate. Their baked goods are delicious and they always plate them out so beautifully! I love that there is so much seating along with a quiet basement area with lots of comfy places to sit and chat! You can also do some boutique type of shopping which makes it a great place to swing into! I will continue to come in for a Saturday morning coffee and breakfast pastry when we are up at the cabin! Stop by if you are looking for a place to hang out with a friend, plug in your computer and get some work done, or just enjoy a delicious sandwich for lunch!

Stopped in for lunch from out of town on our way to a job site up to TRF, and we were so impressed by the food and charming atmosphere. My partner got the harvest sandwich which he quickly devoured, and I had the honey ham and feta with a broccoli slaw w/ a cup of chicken wild rice soup. The Sammi was perfectly toasted on a pretzel bun and for a half portion was well packed with ham. The soup was hot and hearty. The staff were very kind and patient. The storefront itself was very quaint and cozy. We will be back next year when we make our same run again
