10/1/23 - 2:00pmOur first time at Pats was a delight. The server/bartender/cook was friendly and attentive. She recommended a blue cheese burger and walleye sandwich and both were delicious! Bonus that we were there during a Vikings game and got free drinks when they scored. I would highly recommend Pats in Pierz!

We were in Pierz for a car show yesterday with the family and needed to grab supper. All the bars in town had a lengthy wait and we found ourselves in Pat's and the place was pretty empty. That should have been our first sign. We walked in and it was stinky and dirty. So dirty! My husband went to the bar and grabbed drinks for us and the kids. We sat at our table for about 15 minutes before someone came over and asked, "do you need anything." I asked for menus. She did not look like she was pleased to be there or enjoying her job. She came and took our order and about 20 minutes later we got our food. Pretty standard for time. We got our food but hadn't been asked if we needed anything else (drinks etc.). I sat waiting for someone to come by for 13 minutes before I finally decided we would just eat and go. My husband got the blue cheese cheeseburger that is in the first picture. It was supposed to have chunks of blue cheese (there weren't any of those) and a blue cheese dressing. He had to scrap off whatever dressing was on there and slather it in ketchup as it was well done (he wasn't asked how he wanted it). My daughter got the chicken mushroom sandwich. Mushrooms were good but the chicken was overcooked and tough to bite into. I had the walleye sandwich, and it was actually pretty tasty. Thats the only reason I gave a 2 star for food. Kids were tired and hungry, so we just decided to eat it and not send all the food back. My daughter had to hunt someone down for boxes and the check as we were never checked on during the meal. My husband did speak to someone when it was time to pay the bill and leave. They were nice enough to take two of our meals off, but we won't be returning. Super disappointing experience for our family.

This was a long winter in Minnesota and we were making our annual trip for the Crosslake St Patrick’s Day Parade. Believe it or not, we have been devising ways to avoid the traffic and find a good lunch place about halfway from the Cities. Today was a winner. A pleasant small town restaurant and bar with friendly clientele and staff. Broken up into several rooms, there is ample space for large groups at tables and plenty of seats at the bar. Located near world famous Theilen Meats, their burger was as fresh and juicy as any place we have ever been. The BLT had the bacon right from Theilens. We really loved this place in such a friendly atmospheric and welcoming staff. Great place to get to know the locals . Fun decorating and a local sports sponsor. Stop on by, it’s right on the Main Street of this beautiful Minnesota community.

Stopped in for Burger and Fries and Bloody Mary's. The burgers are always sooo good and sour cream fries are delicious and crispy. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
