It was extremely loud and hard to hear, not what we expected at all. Food was okay not what we thought it would be after all the recommendations we got from others. We weren't greeted at all when we walked in, no sign up to tell you to seat yourself. It took about 2 minutes for someone to even come and acknowledge us. Our server wasn't the friendliest. We aren't from MN so I wanted to see what everyone was talking about.

Looking for a local lunch stop while visiting in the area, we found this gem. Sign said to take a seat and someone would take our order. Ashlee spoke to us soon after we were seated and brought some ice waters.
Menu is basic breakfast and lunch. I got a salad, my husband got a pantry melt. Delicious.
Restaurant is open, airy and cheerful. Oh, they are renown for their coffees too.

Service was good. Food good. I had breakfast and liked it.
Pipestone, the place of my birth, appears to be a challenging market. This is a small business that deserves your support.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and were met with friendly staff that told us to sit where we'd like and they'd be right with us. Autumn came by and took our drink orders and was back quickly to take our food order. The food was excellent, people were friendly and the midwest hospitality feeling was felt.

Dining here is great. However if you are just dropping in for a coffee or latte, expect confusing signage and rude staff. Particularly if just passing through.
Though "coffee house" is still clearly painted on the door don't try to put in any basic coffee shop like drink order as the (owner? manager?) on duty will make snide remarks. Even though there are no signs showing the drive through as closed, expect more snide remarks to the unwitting traveler who drives through it. Finally, don't expect to ask basic coffee questions, like how many ounces are in a cup size, whether they have decaf, etc... Unless you want yet more snide remarks.
In general it feels like someone bought the old cafe + coffee house and while they are doing great at the cafe part, they clearly do *not* want to run the coffee house aspect.
That would be all well and good but for some reason the owner and management can't be bothered to make this clear to their customers.
