Took my mom today for lunch. She ordered the 3 meat flat bread and a water, I orders the meatloaf sandwich with french fry’s and a Diet Coke. First the server didn’t mention that they had diet Pepsi, not Coke. Not the worst thing in the world but I am just not a fan of Diet Pepsi, so I would have appreciated a heads up so I could make an alternative choice. Next the flat bread came out so obviously over baked/burnt, it was hard as a rock and inedible. My mom was able to pick slightly at the center of the crust but basically was only able to eat the toppings. The fact that both the kitchen staff and our server didn’t catch this before it got to our table is just unacceptable. Halfway through our meal the server asked if I wanted a refill on my Diet Pepsi. I said yes. When we got our bill. The total was over $42, which with tip wound up being $50. I didn’t think too much about it but when I got to my car it hit me, that seemed very high for a sandwich, fry’s, small flat bread and a soda. So I glanced at my receipt I was charged $8 for my soda and over charged! Poor quality food, mediocre service and way over charging deserves a review to warn others and we will not return. I’m hoping Lucky 13 uses this to improve. They desperately need this critique.
The service was very slow but the burgers and soup were good.

Messed up to go order. Bartender oblivious. Wings prepared not great. Some warm. Some over done. Some sauced. C’mon. The beer was good. All in, $27 for bad service and mediocre wings.

In the best possible way, this reminds me of a type of friendly neighborhood after work/Saturday afternoon pub and grub that was common in the pre-franchise 90's. It's familiar and warm with a regular cast of characters (none of whom are photographing their food or drinks), decent enough chow, the game is on in the background but isn't why anyone is there. Folks of all ages and all walks of life abound. Just kind of cozy and happy and not try-hard. Maybe not a place you'd go out of your way to seek out, but you'd have to misunderstand the brief to be unhappy to be there. I liked it and would go back.
We were very happy with everything at Lucky's 13. We were seated promptly, our server was very pleasant and prompt at arriving at out table with a big boel of popcorn and to take our drink order. Both of us ordered burgers and both were very good and more than we could eat. I had onion rings with mine and instead of the usual pile I got 3 very wide cut onion rings. They were cooked perfectly, a bit hard to eat, but the were very good. My wife had the fresh fruit with her burger and it was piled high on an oval shaped small plate. Both of us ate from it and still left some uneaten. We appreciated that the noise level was fairly low even though they were fairly busy. It made it much easier to have a conversation. And our cocktails were very good as well.
