This was my first visit. My wife had been here before. The food was delicious and the service was great.

This is our new favorite sushi restaurant! We have now been here a few times and we are never disappointed! It is never overly busy. The service is excellent. The food is phenomenal! This last time we got the sushi for two meal it is was well worth the money! We got a beautiful tray of sushi and two miso soups and salads. Everything was delicious!

Love this local sushi restaurant. Food has been consistent for the last year. I worry they may go out of business because anytime you see a restaurant cutting corners by staffing one waiter/waitress it's never a good sign. It definitely means they are running lean; however, they do a booming take-out business. I must say, it's a bit off putting to walk into a restaurant and have all the to-go supplies monopolizing the bar and a table. Cheapens the experience and feels low budget. This place would be our regular go-to if they put a little more into the experience like their competitor does in Maple Grove. A few little tweaks and this place would be crowded every weekend!

Hidden sushi treasure in Plymouth. It's seriously one of the best sushi restaurants in the Twin Cities.

For what I paid the food was very sub par. I will not be returning. We ordered takeout sushi and split an order of pad thai for the kids. Got home and found the pad thai lacked any sauce. They were just dry noodles and fried veggies. The shrimp tempura roll was made with romaine lettuce which was weird and made it fall apart. The avocado and wasabi was brown. I can let the sushi go but I called about the pad thai order and their response was that's how they make it and that the water with the vegetables was the sauce. Right. Thanks, Oyama. I'll look for any other sushi restaurant next time.

Most of my food was ok, but the spicy tuna was without mayo. I had ordered literally right when they opened, so I was understanding that they may have been distracted setting up for the day. When I called the woman was rude and the second I said it had no mayo she cut me off telling me there was no way I was right. That it was mixed in. I eat sushi a lot. I know what spicy tuna is. This has literally zero flavor. I had my coworker who is also a big sushi fan try it and he says the same thing. "it's dry, it has no mayo". ALL I WANTED WAS TO COME GET SPICY MAYO!!!! But the woman was so focused on telling me that I was wrong, reading me my receipt, and telling me about the other food I ordered that she didn't even care to ask what I was wanting. Stop jumping to conclusions that everyone wants something for free, and accept that maybe you make mistakes 5 minutes after you open. If you get subpar food.... No you didn't!

Generally quiet and very decent portions of fish. Dinner for two can be had for $50 which is a deal in today's restaurant economy.

8 months ago I originally posted a 5 star review about this place. But after the last handful of times ordering take out AND dining in, I have to change my review to a negative one. Seems like the place has been going downhill. What used to be thick cuts of sashimi and spice to the spicy items are now thin and not too flavorful. The last few times We’ve dined in, the sushi chefs pay no attention and even seen laying on the booths. What was once really well priced for the large, flavorful portions, seem too steep now. It’s shame as we’ve been repeat customers for over a year.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the sense the restaurant is often on the empty side, but almost no menu items that make sense for smaller kids. (It’s a sushi place I know, but still).

We went at 4:45 and it was pretty much dead so that was nice. Server was great and food was scrumptious. Highly recommend. Only complaint is that the onion soup tastes like straight mushroom broth. But if you like that then it’s perfect for you.

Oh my goodness!! Came here for a friends birthday and wow. Very affordable, very high quality food. Our server Aiden was an absolute gem, super attentive & kind! We got the fresh spring rolls, 4 kinds of sushi rolls, and chicken fried rice. All portions were perfect, presentation impeccable. No scraps left!! Will be back for sure.
