We sat at the last available table on July 25 2025. It was clean and unoccupied. We sat for about 5 minutes when the waitress came by and told us that the table was actually occupied but the people were playing the slot machines. There was literally NOTHING on the table! No water, no menus, nothing. She did not offer to help us be seated elsewhere. Obviously if you are not a regular or don’t gamble, you don’t count.

Very disappointed. When you order the most expensive item on the menu, you expect high quality. This was NOT it. $40 Ribeye steak was thin, tough and overcooked!! Ordered Med.Rare, got Med Well to Well. Garlic mashed potatoes: no garlic, but s/o added SUGAR to them. Why?? Best bet is probably stick w a burger, seems that's all anybody in N. MN. can cook correctly. Mgr deducted $5, like that was going to make a difference. Would rather had him keep it and use it to give the next guy a better steak. :(

I ordered the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread. I was so excited to see this on the menu. It's one of my most favorite sandwiches. It was dry. Three thin slices of turkey. Umm. $15 Dollar sandwich, I expect it to be better. No sides. I left hungry. I brought it home. I have pictures of how sad this sandwich was. I doctored it once home. Husband said his burger was good. Service was awesome! Don't order the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread. I know they were absolutely slammed, told us it would be about an hour wait. As a former server/cook ..yeah that's all good, but to charge that amount of $ for this sad little dry sandwich with no meat?
We make it up to Ice Cracking Lodge every once in a while and have always had exceptional food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere to enjoy the afternoon. We've had lots of delicious food here but the one thing we always order are the jalapeño poppers, they are outstanding!

On Saturday there was at least 150 snowmobiles at the lodge. Lunch hour was busy but service was still great. Premium gas is available. Either pre pay or leave a card while you fill up. The trail leads right up to the back of the lodge. Also, great signage on the trail to lead you to the lodge. Will gladly return.

Food and drinks: Quick lunch was delicious!
Noteworthy details: Very friendly to snowmobilers! Plenty of places to hang helmets while eating.
