This was a very good choice for us. We were able to walk here from our hotel and went back the second night to try a different entrée.

Great supper club with a filet that was cooked perfectly, au gratin potatoes that were wonderful and green beans that were seasoned amazingly. Looked like the cooks were literally in a small space off to the side so it was fun to watch them cook.

Beautiful views/large windows. Breathtaking! Restaurant itself is dated/could use updating but it's very clean! Their batter is made in house and SO GOOD. The fish, onion rings, all of the battered stuff YUMMY! House salad is great! Burgers/sandwiches are very good.
The pace the food comes out is kind of all over the map and steaks are always inconsistent. We never know if it will be overcooked or raw so we quit ordering them and don't recommend. It can be difficult to flag any staff down, most times they just take our order, bring food, then the bill. We often will order a drink when the meals come but never get them. Kind of frustrating. But, at times, service can be much better!

The food and service here is usually hit or miss. The prime rib is delicious, as well as the walleye.

Legendary eatery in SE Minn. Visited in the afternoon, with a larger group. They were able to accommodate us easily. Good atmosphere and food!

Food was decent but the service was pathetic.
Adding on the surprise " facility fee" was weak.
Heard all kinds of hoopla how great this place was and it fell short.
Not overly impressed.

Went hoping for good steaks and frog legs, but unfortunately, found neither. While both options were available, they were also severely lacking. The pace of the meal was pretty bad. We had our appetizers for less than 5 minutes before the main food came out. My spouse's Manhattan whiskey came out in a chipped glass after the bread, but before the appetizers. We ordered the Mahi Mahi, which was way overdone and dry. Tasted like canned tuna would have had better flavor. The steak, a New york strip, while certainly thicker than standard, was not trimmed appropriately. I had to cut grissel off myself. When ordered rare, the steak came out more around medium. The char wasn't that great either, mushrooms for the steak didn't really taste grilled more like if you opened a can and plopped them on top. The potato sides were odd as well. We got the au gratin potatoes, a traditionally layered cheesy buttery potato baked dish. Here what they served in a ramekin was more what you'd find along the lines of grandmas shredded potato hotdish. We also got the baked potato and the fries. Both were normal if a little bland. The frog legs, which I was hopeful for given their price, tasted a lot like from frozen. The batter was too thick as well, leaving me with a batter casing and a naked leg, which was very bland even with cocktail sauce, which was an odd choice in and of itself. All the food desperately needed better seasoning. Even some salt and pepper would have been better than whatever they had going on. The pork belly bites were the best part, but they shouldn't have pieces that are all fat. Whoever is in charge of trimming was not on their A game. Probably won't go again. Decor wise was very hunting lodge styled. With their view opportunity and the right lighting could feel very inviting.
Parking: For the inside space available doesn't seem like adequate parking ratios.
