We stay at Mystic Lake every year we go to the Renfest. Food is always good. We go to the cafe every day we stay. Whether it’s dinner or breakfast or lunch.

Breakfast can be probably the most hectic and longest wait to find a seat as everybody is going there as they’re checking out.
The staff is usually polite, even with all the craziness going on.

We waited 20 minutes at a table and never got served. Awful service. Would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I will start with good. The dining area is nice and clean.

But, Wow! Hands down the worst breakfast I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs, and the only remotely edible item was the barely toasted bread. The hash was a greasy, charred mess that tasted like it had been cooked on a filthy grill. Despite being drenched in oil and burnt on the outside, the potatoes were somehow still raw and cold in the center. To make matters worse, whoever prepared it dumped an absurd amount of dill into the dish—completely overpowering and nauseating.

Mystic Lake seriously needs to step up its quality control when it comes to their restaurants. I like the casino and hotel, but I won’t be eating here again.

Inedible food. Taste and smell.. oh and the garnish speaks for itself. My plate had two bites taken , my husbands corned beef hash was so gross. He also had the rotten orange garnish 😂 who puts that on a plate ? Eww

If you like Turkey and gravy you need to go on Wednesdays! It’s $10 but you get a discount for being over 65! I go her almost weekly. I tried the Reuben and loved it, the second time I ordered it, it wasn’t as good but that’s ok, different cooks do things differently. The one thing I can always count of though is the turkey and gravy. Try it!

Great steak & steak sauce was fabulous but service wasn't up to par. Server took my order, delivered it & never came to offer more coffee or anything until I flagged her down for bill, then she asked if I wanted anything else. Very unfriendly but she got the order right & food was good.

To start our waitress was extremely quiet and awkward could hardly hear her when trying to order. Then to make things worse I order the bbq chicken wings and a cheeseburger tasted mediocre at best. Later found out not only did it taste poor but aswell was made poorly. This garbage restaurant gave me food poisoning! I have been having boul issues and have been puking for several hours now. Save your time money and health DO NOT EAT AT THIS EMBARRASSMENT OF AN ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

If this restaurant was not in the middle of a major casino it would be out of business in months.

There seams to be a man who appears to be a Manager that's clueless to run a restaurant. Obviously no training of the staff and the worse part, the cooks. There was no sense of urgency to get seated by what looked like an untrained staff member. 10 people in line and open tables throughout the restaurant and when she finally sat someone and came back to her greeting counter she nervously started stacking menus in a neat even row without addressing the line of people waiting. Zero personality. Deer in the headlights.

I could go on and on but I'll now mention the food. The first morning we ordered the Tex Mex skillet and I ordered an omelette hash browns and toast. I took one bite of the hash browns and rejected the rest. Cut likely from a baking sheet pulled from a cooler it was in a exact rectangular shape. It was garbage. Cold inside and no crispy edges you would expect from a real grilled order of hash browns. The wheat toast I couldn't eat either. It was floppy, not toasted, like bread out of a bag and if it was buttered I couldn't tell. The omelette was egg and bits of ham green pepper infused in the poured onto the frying pan fried egg, not cooked separate, and then it was rolled up like a burrito from taco bell. Maybe the cooks previous job. So, the only thing I could salvage from that meal was my egg roll-up and the side of orange juice.

The Tex Mex skillet was great. It was prepared as it was described on the menu with the sauces and came with cilantro on top and a side of salsa. Not over cooked and absolutely delicious.

It was so good we ordered 2 as a to go order the morning we checked out. Obviously not the same cook and zero staff training on consistency, we got home and it was not even close to what we got the day before. The entire meal was dry and over cooked. It had big chunks of overcooked potatoes and very little of anything else. I did find one slice of green pepper 1 inch long and some onion. It did not have the Tex Mex sauces it stated on the menu. I asked that the eggs be over easy and they were overcooked with crusty edges. No cilantro and no salsa. The first day the waiter wondered if it came with toast and decided no. The second day the to go person said it came with toast.

Like I said, no training, no consistency and a terrible manager that must be someone's cousin or uncle to keep the job. Shut it down or fix it. We view Mystic Casino as a top notch excellent well run machine. Hire an independent someone to critique all your operations and implement changes that would impress first time and long time patrons like us.

Immediately after eating the meal I purchased i had gotten sick. Threw up in the bathroom, stomach pains hours after the fact, constant bathroom usage. I ate around 11:15 and am still dealing with stomach issues now (2:25). There are also flies EVERYWHERE. One landed in my wife's food thus her not finishing it. I spent more time swatting flies than actually eating. The only good thing was that we were sat swiftly and the staff were nice.

The adult mac and cheese was cold, very bland and not much chicken was added. Will not reorder.
My husband's steak was small, the baked potato was small and you could tell it had been kept hot all day. Very disappointed. I think the chefs need to taste what's on the menu and perhaps revamp it. Not impressed at all.....
