Local Duluthian. This used to be a family favorite spot, it felt like a "Special" place to go. We rarely come here in recent years. The last few times its clear how run down this spot is becoming - you have such a great location, beautiful view of lake superior, tourist hot spot ... but its sad how run down its becoming, carpets, worn down booths. . . . Leaving this review to try encourage owners to put a little pride back into this restaurant and do Duluth Proud.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!Absolutely a trash place to go to try to get a meal! The wedding venues are horrible! The service is horrible! The food is terrible and horrible! The prices are out of this world!! THE DRINKS ARE WATERED DOWN AND HORRIBLE!! There's an automatically added gratuity! YOU WILL REGRET VISITING HERE!!!

Been by this place several times and finally decided to stop in. My steak was burnt and dried out. Asked the waitress 2 times for ketchup for my onion rings and she never brought it. Definitely would not go back again.

Drove 20 minutes out of town because we were told the proctor location was better than the Duluth location that is much closer to my house. Staff is friendly, the waiter was great but… All three of us were surprised at how cold and lukewarm the food was when it finally arrived, other than my sweet potato. Have you ever eaten cold Panko crusted walleye? Yeah… I took three bites and that was it for me. My son’s steak medallions were so tough that his jaw is still hurting. Our waiter did replace it with a chicken pot pie that was actually hot when it arrived. We didn’t want to complain about the rest of the issues because we just really didn’t know if that would turn out to be problematic. Also, didn’t want to complain with my new boyfriend right there. I guarantee we will never go back to a Blackwood location again. This was so disappointing and sad.

We had a celebration of life in the event center. It was beautiful, food was great, and the staff were extremely helpful!

I waited 30 minutes for a salad, there were two tables and six other people in the bar. The bartender was more worried about going out to smoke than wait on customers. I was not the only one that was annoyed, and thought it should be noted.

Order the top sirloin medium well came medium rare. If you can call it that then proceeded to want to tell me my steak is on the way after waiting 30 minutes plus after watching six other tables meals get served as they have steaks and everything as well very, very poor poor review, worst tasting bite of steak I ever had left restaurant hungry very sad, considering it was my first time there and I was very excited to go. and now my last I will be sharing with everyone I know pretty sad when you can have Culver’s, and that tasted better.

This experience was just average. I think we are used to the one on London Road in Duluth and this one is in Proctor. The restaurant in Duluth has a more romantic and special kind of atmosphere while Proctor has just a casual atmosphere. That might be the way it's supposed to be but I really enjoyed the one in Duluth. The service was great in Proctor but the sirloin steak was plain. Meatloaf was fantastic. If you like casual dining at that price then Proctor is your kind of place.

Good food. Great service high quality place with high prices to match. Sectional dining room nice for privacy.

Polar opposite of 2525 London location. The bar is an afterthought—way less liquor selection, lack of attention to detail. The barkeeps at London are on point. This location is skimping and cutting corners—paper napkins, food portions are smaller, less staff. Food and service were good but far cry from outstanding. Poor mgmt can only be the reason here. It’s a total bummer, as I’m minutes from this location. Guess I’ll be driving the extra 30 minutes to go to the London location.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends at Blackwoods Proctor. The food was fantastic, specifically the gouda medallions and pan crusted walleye. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Our server Lainie was fabulous and really great training in a new server. Thank you.

Food and server were above average. The cleanliness of the place was sub par. Dirty seats, poor cushions, and hastily cleaned tables. I left with a stain on the lower back of my shirt. Some sauce. Very dissatisfied.
