The staff was very friendly. The salad and seafood bars were exceptionally clean and well-maintained and the food was always fresh. We went on a Friday night to the seafood buffet. This was our second visit, with the first being shortly after they opened in late 2021. NYE, I believe. The salad bar was good, nothing exceptional, but clean and fresh. The seafood bar was mediocre at best. Most of the seafood was deep fried, everything except the pesto shrimp, lobster mac and cheese, and lobster bisque, I believe. The fried items seemed to be standard frozen seafood items available at any grocery store; a step above fast food. The pesto shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp doused in a very strong pesto. I’m not sure if the lobster bisque was made in-house, but it was no different than the tubs you can buy at Sam’s. The lobster mac and cheese was okay, rich and heavy, not a lot of lobster, but okay.Overall, if the seafood buffet came with a price tag of $15 or so I would consider it a reasonable price for the food quality. I absolutely understand the increased costs that restaurants are dealing with right now, but I also understand that consumers are dealing with increased costs, as well. At $25 per person, the money could be better spent on much higher quality food. That’s just too much money for mediocre (at best) food.

Great new place in town. Loved the salad bar, lobster bisque soup was delightful. Our server was attentive, pleasant and motivated, she did great for a newbie. Our dinner was tasty. Will go again, nice place for a special meal

Really enjoyed our meal here. Sampled some new appetizers from the kitchen they were sampling. Salad bar was well stocked, tomato bisque was delicious and wife's salmon was really good. I had the gulf shrimp and was impressed with six very large and tasty shrimp. Good value for solid food.

We went to Fable’s for the first time for Mother’s Day. Ashley E was our server and did an amazing job! She was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the tomato bisque soup. The owner, Joe, even dropped by our table and showed genuine interest in our satisfaction with our experience. I would highly recommend Fable’s!

From the wonderful atmosphere to the incredible menu to the talented wait staff....this place has impressed me every time I step foot in it. Joe has carefully crafted and incredible menu and has a staff to back it up.If you find yourself in the Red Wing area, check his place out in the lower level of the historic armory. Joe and the staff will not disappoint. I have been able to entertain friends from different echelons there and even have a romantic evenìng with my lady. Live music on certain nights, and a wonderful atmosphere, makes it a jewel in this town.Try it out. It will change your view of fine and casual dining.

My wife and I enjoyed a traditional St Patrick's Day meal at Fable's. GREAT flavors and plentiful servings! Well stocked salad bar came with the meal. Joe, owner and chef, came to our table asking for an honest assessment of the meal and service. He wants to ensure he's providing a quality experience. Hannah was a knowledgeable server, friendly too!

Nice to have a new dining option in Red Wing! Loved the walnut crusted walleye, green beans were perfectly cooked - not hard or mushy - and we both loved the red skin mashed potatoes, and yes, the apple crisp is worth it. Attentive service from the host, our waitress, a very helpful "busboy" and the chef himself who was out and about checking on diners frequently. Good cocktails and wine selection very reasonably priced. We'll be back!

The food was very good and the staff works very hard. I will return when I'm back in Red Wing. Salad bar is fully stocked and worth the price. Beef sandwich was really good with normal fries.

Love the atmosphere here. The servers were very friendly, the portion sizes were large, and my ribeye was so tender I could cut it with my fork. Salad bar was fresh with a lot of variety. Highly recommend!!

Just returned home from my 4th visit to this fantastic addition to Red Wing's restaurant offerings. This particular visit did not include food, but reminded me of why I am drawn to this establishment. Extremely friendly and welcomig atmosphere. The staff and ownership group do an excellent job in making you feel appreciated for your patronage. My three previous visits were all exceptional in regards to the quality of the meals. Saturday nights prime rib buffet, which included numerous other items was delicious and a good value! The live music on Saturday evening was an additional bonus.

Great to have a rare new offering in Red Wing! Service was outstanding. That was a highlight. Our server worked hard to please. It seems like a fancy place, but it’s got a long way to go. Smashed up paper napkins, off balance table and red wine served in cheap little glasses. I expect more for $25 plus entrees. The food was another highlight. Walnut walleye? Outstanding! Jumbo shrimp? Good but too salty. Carmelized broccoli was very good. So were the green beans . Salad bar was well stocked and fresh. Final issue was the 3% charge for a “non-cash adjustment.” This fee for using a credit card was hidden in the final check and added into the Total tax with “other tax.” Other tax was sales tax. Little thing, but it’s the principal. Raise your prices a few cents to cover your cost of doing business. Don’t punish me for not carrying a wad of cash to dinner. Bottom line: Real potential but definitely work to be done on the front of the house experience. I’d love to give 5 stars. It’s not there yet but I will try again.

We had a great time at Fable's in Red Wing. We came from Rochester to listen to the band, Fred the Bear, but we were impressed with the food. I had the Walnut Crusted Walleye and my husband had the Blackened Walleye. We both had green beans which were very good and both my Red Skinned Mashed Potatoes and my husband's Au Gratin Potatoes were delicious. I'm gonna get the Au Gratin Potatoes next time, for sure! We had some beverages too. A vanilla porter and a chocolate martini. Very yummy. We also had the fantastic apple crisp with some type of cinnamon flavored ice cream! So good!!! But by far our favorite thing tonight was our server! She had a lot to do and was super busy, but she did amazing and was so pleasant in all our interactions!!! 5 gold stars for Hannah! Keep up the great work, girl! See ya next time!
