Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop

Really like this Bakery and wanted to rate higher at first impression- lots of charm and a great vibe. Coffee and donuts were served quickly and were great. Where our experience fell short was the wait for food- a wrap and breakfast sandwich to go took 25 minutes without apology.
I think if you are just going for coffee and donuts- 5 stars, otherwise make a different choice for sandwiches. Cheers!

It is the best bakery I have been to. On a Saturday at 2 pm they were well stocked with product and it was soooo good!! Saw the company on TCL and it is everything that was advertised!!

Im sorry to say I wasn't impressed. The website makes it sound like this bakery is overflowing with goodness and it is not. The donuts tasted like it was day old and not fresh. I ended up throwing one away it was so stale. It was very disappointing. I really wanted to like this place.

We stopped by on a road trip and had high expectations since there was a long line of people waiting to order baked goods. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. The donuts and pastries were totally average - maybe below average. They had a lot of variety of flavors and some novelty toppings (bacon, fruity pebbles, etc) but the pastries just didn’t have very good flavor or texture. Also, the person taking our order didn't know what some of the items were. We asked what flavors the scones were (nothing was labeled) and he pulled them out and looked at them and wasn't able to identify a couple of them, so he just guessed. We got one that he said was raspberry but there was not a single berry in it, so we are not sure what it was and it didnt taste like anything. Bummer.

The amount of donuts selections was crazy. I wish I lived closer to be able to try all of them. We were satisfied with all the variety that we did try. The coffee was really delicious too. I would highly recommend someone stopping by while they’re in town. The folks running it are super friendly as well.

Stopped for lunch about 130p. Waited 45 minutes for food. Others around us 45 - 60 minutes. For a sandwich. They gave no indication when ordering that it would take this long to receive food. Wasted a lot of time here for okay food. Maybe their pastries are good. Wouldn't recommend.

No gluten free options besides candy and popcorn. Service slow rude clerk asked for gluten free options I have cilac. clerk says I'm not the baker, there's popcorn and candy over there and pointed. Don't bother if your looking for gluten free
