Kelly's Tap House Bar and Grill

This is a fun restaurant in beautiful Red Wing. They have lovely outdoor seating, too. The food was good and the service was great, my only complaint is that the music was quite loud, making it difficult to talk. We were there a bit later in the evening, and so I'm thinking that's why the music was so loud - really fun place to go on a Friday night, though.

Kelly's has a pleasant deck, and although they were busy, pretty good service. Most of the food was good enough, but the onion rings were a disaster. They were about 5% onion and 95% batter and swimming in grease.

Was a very busy night and had absolutely phenomenal service despite how busy it was. Great food from apps, drinks, to the main course!! They had a pistachio beer that was extremely tasty. We will definitely be stopping here again next time we come through town! Pictured are two of there appetizers pub fries and pickles.

Our first time eating in Red Wing, after a hike, we stumble upon this place. It took nearly one hour to get our food, and I can see why. The brisket that my husband ordered, tasted like croutons. Our server never asked us one time, how we’re doing, or if we needed anything else. When she’d ask those around us if they needed anything else, a dozen or more times. This was our first time and will definitely be our last time.

Visited on a Friday at 2:45 pm, so between lunch and dinner. Our service was poor. It was appx 15-20 minutes to be given a glass of water. Ordered boneless wings that turned out to be very heavily breaded and crunchy. The wings arrived without the BBQ we requested and still didn't get any after asking for it again. The appetizer plates are just paper plates and the napkins are paper thin.

On the bright side, the Rachel sandwich with sweet potato tots was very good. The onion rings were a 7 out of 10, so not so bad.

Generally speaking, I doubt we will go back.

The geriatric hostess was rude and couldn’t do the simple task of seating guests. We were told 10 min for a table, we waited 50 minutes and others be seated before our party, she completely ignored us. Many other guests were talking with us & agreeing she should just punch out and go home, maybe get a drink. Once we pointed out to her we been waiting along time, she slammed the menus down & walked us to a dirty icky sticky table where we were ignored again. We were never greeted by a server, we waited 15 minutes & continued to watch the servers lean on counters eating, chatting while ignoring us.

Our party finally agreed to leave, terrible horrible service. The food wait I can only assume would have been worse and the food qaulity probably would have been terrible. The angry geriatric was rude to other guests and many others also left as a result. If she can’t handle the huge terrible pressure of table seating, she maybe should consider a cognitive skills class on the way to work.

I think it’s time for this geriatric to retire and go plant flowers in my opinion. Terrible experience, terrible staff, terrible restaurant. So glad we weren’t the only ones walking out from this circus called a restaurant. It seems this place has a consistent bad reputation when looking at other reviews.… what a joke, learn to run a restaurant.

Dog friendly patio was nice. Service was S L O W. Drinks came immediately, but food took an hour at 2:30pm. We asked about food and waiter said she would check. She came out immediately. The food looked old and cold (heating lamps only thing that kept them from getting colder). “Side salad” is a 1980’s iceberg lettuce with low grade shredded cheese and tomatoes that look more white than red. Disappointed.

Vegetarian options: You can sub in an impossible burger for any other burger at no extra charge. Also, their black bean burger is fantastic. Even nob-vegetarians love it.
