My wife and I have been going to Staghead for a few years now and are saddened at the news that they will be closing Feb. 3rd. It was a pleasure dining there each and every time. They'll be missed!

Had an Old Fashioned (great), hummus (very good), and the salmon (yummy). We are so bummed this restaurant is closing. We are new to Red Wing and this was going to be one of our ‘go-to' places.

This is a wonderful little place! The food and service were wonderful. We had a lovely anniversary dinner. Thank you so much!

Suggested by several locals. Unfortunately terrible food and service. Drinks were excellent. Ordered blt brought pot roast. Got corrected food. No bacon on a blt and only one 1/2 of cherry tomato on the sandwhich. Garlic aoli was thicker than the 2 thin slices of bread. Sent it back. Cook just threw bacon on the same sandwich. No tomatos. Asked for tomatos got a bowl fo cut tomatos no herbs as designated on the menu. Lettuce on sandwich was dressed with the dressing they serve on thier side salad. I couldn't beleive they didn't remmake my food. Other person in my party ordered the burger. Same thing with the aoli, it was thicker than the burger which was way over done dry and hard as a rock. My potatos were undercooked and hard the other plate they were almost burnt. Really disappointing after the recos. Only 2 other tables in the place occupied so not busy. They didn't charge me for the mess i received but still can't recommend.

First time dining here. Service was good. Food was good. Had the deviled eggs which actually were hard boiled eggs with window dressing. The Old Fashions were great. We would come back.

Our favorite date night spot. Great from scratch food & drinks. Good playlists always at the right volume. Casual but elevated vibe in a beautiful historic building. Slower-paced dining so you can enjoy your food and company. I also love the new serving team. Love it.

The Stag Head in Red Wing, MN is a blend of finer food and urban 1920's modern. A huge long bar and many quaint tables and booths that run along side a rich rustic red brick wall and below a pressed tin ceiling. Great ambient lighting. The service is very good. Overall a unique and pleasant experience.

We have dined at Staghead in the past and it's always been pleasant and great food. This last diner was very odd, we had a reservation to sit at the bar, no problem, we got right in. The bartender was rude, put the check in front of us before my plate was removed without asking us if we would like anything else. The restaurant wasn't full or the bar, it was only 8pm so I don't know what the rush was. She just seemed angry about something. I ordered salmon that was supposed to be on black rice with a glaze and a salad. They put a dry piece of salmon on top of my salad, no black rice. My husband ordered meat on wide noodles, the noodles were swimming in water. The ambiance is great, prices are very reasonable with nice wine choices. Sad, such a great spot, just did not feel welcome and the food was not up to their usual standards. Would still recommend based on past visits, but not a fun night for us.

Food wasn't bad, but the overall experience was a dud. Thought about leaving early on and still thinking that might have been a better choice.

There is a very limited lunch menu, which is frustrating, and they were out of one of their lunch items, so the menu was even more truncated. Additionally, they charge for soft drink refills, which, come on.

Our waitress was the only one serving tables while we were there for dinner and she was doing her best. Five of us ordered the Swedish meatballs and although the meatballs were a bit bland and only warmed through, we were not able to send them back to the kitchen to be reheated because of time constraints (going to the Sheldon Theater). But we would go back to the Staghead and try something else on the menu.

Ran out of the most notable dishes very early in the day. Disappointing. Food we ended up ordering was okay. Ordered clam chowder and got some sort of bisque. Probably won't be back.
