First off I'm leaving this review because I'm a long time customer of the Edina Zupas. I really enjoy your soups and I'm still coming back, but what I saw tonight really made an impression on me. I'm a local MN chef and I've always really appreciated your operation. Your walk in is always clean and organized and your soups are tasty and super consistent. Today however I had a different experience. We walked in to order takeout on 2/24/26 at about 6:00PM, and having ordered only three things, made it to the front of the line and left checkout at around 6:40. You were short on vegetable prep for quite a few things, and had an older woman in the back plugging away at veggie prep at a slow but steady pace, but it wasn't really enough to keep up. What was painful about the experience wasn't the fact that you were in the weeds. It happens to everyone at some point. There were a lot of younger kids on your line but nobody seemed to have any hustle or direction. You had two or three guys just standing around, unclear on what to do to bail you out. I'm not sure if there was no kitchen manager on duty, but it seemed like it. I totally understand that sometimes a weird perfect storm of walk ins and door dash just catch you by surprise, but your team seemed really unprepared to deal with it.

We ordered our Zupas for a 6:30pm time slot and we didn't get our one meal order until 7:16pm. I realize restaurants can be understaff but you need to remove your order ahead option. We are so disappointed. No option to cancel either.

Why is their app so terrible? Fort Knox for a sandwich, automatically tips 10%.

Unfortunately I found a giant tooth pick in the middle of my sandwich melted into the cheese. I reached out to Cafe Zuppas via their website and I was not satisfied with their response. They seemed to think the toothpick was just on top in the bread to hold it together and would not let me send more photos. I felt brushed off and feel this was a potentially dangerous situation. Very disappointed.

Wretched, inept, comtempable–these are all words I would use to describe this despicable establishment's employees. I got told three times that my order was coming up. After the third time and waiting fifteen minutes, I just left. I ordered well in advance. This place is supposed to be fast. As if! About eight other people were all standing around waiting for their online order. And, there were about eight employees behind the counter doing, what, I don't know.

Waste of space!

Ill start off by saying the food is great here. Taste and quality have always been fantastic.
When they first opened they made a point to advertise that they dont accept /have a tip option because they pay their employees a fair wage. Somewhere a long the line this changed because the signs have been gone amd tips options pop up. Im unsure what happened to this business concept which I thought was great, but it leave me confused when a business goes back on what they've advertised.

Also, don't buy their holiday candy cane chocolate cup things. It was $15!!!!! No wonder there wasn't a price advertised .

First time here. Very good food. I had s salad sandwich combo. Cobb was super fresh. Sandwich was barbeque with cole slaw bread was super fresh. I ordered take out but decided to stay in.
