Wasted lots of time in this place! We waited for an hour and a half for our food. We wanted to try and support local restaurants so we tried this place since it has a good review. It was very disappointing. The waiter was very nice and kind and we felt bad for him because he was the only one working for more than an hour literally running in the restaurant! And then comes the food, it was okayish and was not worth the wait. I hope they improve their kitchen staff at least if they only have 1 waiter.

Service was okay, pancakes were wonderful, the other reviews didn't let us down there. However the French toast with jam and berries as well as the breakfast sandwich was a let down. The server was not very helpful, they spilled the coffee a bit and it got all over the mug and table and didn't bring napkins over, and the seasonal coffee I hoped would be the highlight of the rather expensive breakfast, were just okay... nothing to reccomend to others. Definitely could have been staff working or just an off day. But coming from out of town I wouldn't stop back in as we would have other places to check out and explore. I would suggest following local reviews for a better guide on what they love about this breakfast spot and thier coffee.

This was amazing. Staff was very nice. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend if your looking for breakfast at a local diner.

Great local restaurant. Something of a restaurant/coffee shop hybrid that appears to be a local favorite. It took us a good couple minutes to find anywhere to park. The food wasn't the most amazing thing ever, but it was good and the prices were fair. I was happy to see a good selection of vegan/vegetarian options to choose from and the staff were nice.I definitely felt a bit out of place trying to figure the restaurant out. Did we sit down and order or did we go to the cashier and then sit down?I was also confused by what often looked like regular customers taking dishes to the kitchen area. The service was pretty lacking, but the restaurant was very busy. We ordered two mochas which came out pretty fast. I was basically done with my coffee when the food finally got there. The waitress never asked if I'd like a different drink or some water, and rarely stopped back by at all.I have no doubts the spot would probably become a regular for me if I lived in the area. Good coffee, decent food at decent prices, and a vibe that you can really only get from these little gems.

The omelets are really delicious and a blueberry pancakes are good. The cinnamon rolls are not that great. The chai lattes are good. Nice cute little atmosphere. Good service. Very reasonable prices as well.

After seating ourselves, we sat for over 10mins before someone came to our table to offer menus and water. Then we waited another 15mins after asking another waitress for our own, he then approached the other table of people whom have been helped. Tall white and blonde hair guy walks right past our table to clean off another table, completely ignored us. IF YOU'RE OF COLOR DON'T GO HERE!!

I ordered an omelette with a lady slipper drink. The food and drink looked great! The omelette had provolone, bacon, and spinach. With the cheese in the omelette and then spinach plus bacon bits on top. It was a pretty okay omelette, tasted like something I would make at home but I'd add better and more ingredients to the omelette, the ingredients portions and their choice of a few bacon crumbles was not really up to par with most breakfast restaurants. The lady slipper contained raspberry flavoring, but the flavoring was so much that it was really hard to drink, very sweet and wouldn't recommend if you want to enjoy coffee. The service was nice, the staff helped explain how to order and to just sit down, although I had to ask them, they didn't help me until I sought them out. I don't think I'll be coming back here nor would I recommend Local Roots for a breakfast meal.

Surprisingly large menu from a coffee shop menuAdult beverage menu to breakfast—lunch & dinner. The service is perfectly chill, professional & lovely; & the food is some of the best in town.I experienced their biscuits & gravy which was out of this world! Plus they know how to do espresso shots right:)I was very impressed with everything!Local Roots is a true jem in this town!!❤️?❤️

I’ve had mixed experiences here. The consistent theme is bland food. Seasoning and toppings are Missing. For instance, I’ve ordered omelets that have less bacon than a salad. Your burger is not going to have toasted buns or toppings other than cheese. The café drinks depend on who is making them. Some servers are unforgivably slow and aloof. For the prices? I’d eat and drink elsewhere.

This is my most special restaurant! Local, comfortable, delicious food, great kind servers. My family enjoys hot chocolates, coffee and meals. My favorite is pancakes! Husband enjoys pulled pork hash. Have not stopped in for dinner but will one day.

Best biscuits and gravy and excellent coffee. The kids area is a life saver for parents with little kids. Pleasant experience.
