Great table service!We had the cod fish fry which was quite good compared to any other one we've tried in MN. Tons of fries come with.Also tried the Cubano. Very good, but was quite salty and the pickles were just... Fine.Overall very good, and we'll go back.

First time at Protagonist, had a mid-week business lunch. Food was really great, we both had salads which were super fresh and with a nice selection of ingredients. Who puts thick cut bacon in a chef salad! Service was friendly and prompt. Just a heads-up, my phone took me to the garage, and there are no signs to the restaurant from that south side. Just go into the building and you'll see it.

First time here, had a hard time finding it. Got inside and no one was at the front and had to wait awhile for a staff member to greet us and seat us. Service was awful, I’m a server so I tend to be a bit more lenient than others. Would have understood if the place was packed but it wasn’t, only a handful of tables. My friend asked our server for a straw when she delivered our drinks, never saw her again until after our food came by that time I walked to the bar and get her a straw. Food was decent, Brussel sprouts were really good.

Definitely not a well-known place but a group of friends in myself play dungeons & Dragons here once a month and it is very inviting for us The food is very good some of it is different takes on things that you wouldn't normally put together but definitely suggest the pub burger is phenomenal and their french fries are amazing. I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere it's not overly bright there's definitely enough space there's a lot of character to it there's used books everywhere I don't know what the story is behind the used books but it's very cool and I'm just very grateful that this restaurant could accommodate large groups and they definitely have we were not the only large group there at the time I highly suggest.
