Set and setting is a real thing, clays does this very well. From the big room small town vibes to the bar tenders who make it feel like you've been coming for the last 10 years. Definitely a great stop.

I really wanted to rate this a 5 because the food was really good with the exception of my FIL’s double burger. The paper that separates patties was left in between his burger patties which is kind of crazy. Even crazier is when it was politely pointed out to the waitress she grabbed a napkin off the table and without stating she was doing so, grabbed the pieces of paper off my father in law’s plate with a bare hand. She walked away and never addressed the issue or adjusted the bill. That was pretty disappointing. I get accidents happen but it should have been addressed and compensated. We only live 30 minutes away and until that happened I had really considered coming back.

We have had so many great experiences at Clays…. We prefer some bartenders…. But just don’t go when Laina ( spell ) is bartending. She is so annoyed that non regular customers ask her for anything…. ? Luckily I made my husband go deal with her….
