Typically I love this brand. I'll just chalk up my disappointing visit to an off day for all involved.

Fine but the brisket was awful

It was good, but we found a hair in the muffin and and another one on the meat, so that kinda ruined the experience.

The food was amazing. The rib tips for 4 dollars was amazing. I hate the new order than sit thing but other than that it was great.

the food very good. I was surprised that at the Roseville location you pay for your order before sitting at the table. There are no baby seats, and they don't ask you if you need anything else or want something. It's my opinion. Thank you.

My experience today taught me 2 things: trust your first instinct and never tip before you receive the service.Walking in the whole place smelled like the air freshener in the bathroom. Should have turned and left. The cashier with the big eyelashes was unnecessarily rude, turned and packed a to go order while we were ordering. Tipped 20%. Never again. We waited 28 minutes, seeing other people served that came in after us. Walking up to get a refund and passed the cashier bringing our food. Minus the cocktail sauce for the shrimp platter and requested ranch so I had to go get them myself. A nearly $6 tip for what? And the food had been under the heat lamp so long the pickles were hot and the butter was melted. Yet my fries and shrimp were lukewarm. Gross. What a waste of time and money. Ruined our meal for sure.

Tables were sticky and didn't feel clean. I overheard one of the managers say a back handed comment about my large group as she was assisting the table next to us. The only upside was the gentleman that brought us our food was very polite.

The brisket was horrible. Thr most fatty greasy thing. The only thing I like was corn muffin and maybe the baked chicken. Place needs a revamp!!

Was good, not great. It has been a long time since I have been to FDs. This appeared to be a smaller quick serve concept that we were not expecting. The grilled cheese with pork was the best thing we had out of everything.

The food has always been good, but the way that they are doing orders now is anarchy. There's like a little bar out front which I think is for takeout, and then the dining room is just sort of chaos. When I was in there it was just a bunch of people standing around vaguely. I had no idea who had ordered and who had not, few people were moving, and the people coming in were just elbowing to the front. I don't think it would have been possible, practically speaking to get food ordered without being rude to strangers. This is not a sit-down restaurant anymore. I have no idea whose idea it was to have this system without some kind of aisle or dividers or something for forming a queue. There was no cue. It was just chaos. And strangers cutting in line. Real bad experience. I went somewhere else. This would be an incredibly terrible place to take a partner or a friend or family on account that I don't think that there is a graceful way to even place your order. You're just going to look bad.

If you've never been to Famous Dave's, just picture the "bbq" you get at a grocery store deli. It's OK. Sometimes even pretty decent. But it will never be the good bbq place.
