All right. I didn't intent to write a review, but after reading some I decided to. We have been to Keyes 2x, and is being grouchy a job requirement for wait staff? The food is good which is the reason we returned, and I giving the place 2 stars insted of one Our server was a middle age woman with shoulder length blond here yesterday, and the first time I think it was guy. Both times we got nothing but bad attitudes. Any question we had on the menu was met with irritation. The bill took forever, and when my brother attempted to meet the server's eye, to request the bill, she averted his eyes. One event with attitude ok but 2 is too many!! Leads me to believe there is a management problem.

Ordered a full sheet of Ho ho cake at the Roseville location. From the online order to the pick up... absolute perfection. Everyone was so friendly and if they didn't know they found out the answer. I didn't have to worry if the cake was going to be exactly what I was hoping for. AND the taste... so many compliments. Definitely will be back for more cakes from here. Worth the hour and a half drive from home for it!!

Very disappointing experience at the Roseville location

My husband and I usually love this restaurant we often visit the St. Paul and Woodbury locations because their sandwiches are some of my absolute favorites. However, this time we decided to try the Roseville location, and our experience was deeply disappointing due to how I was treated by our server.

When we arrived, everything started normally. Our waiter took our drink orders my husband ordered a soda, and I ordered coffee. I placed my order in English, as I always do. When he brought our drinks, he switched to Spanish and asked, “¿Quieres crema para tu café?” I am Mexican and proud of my roots, so I didn’t mind him speaking Spanish to me. I actually thought he was just being friendly.

Throughout the rest of the meal, the waiter spoke English only to my husband, who is white and American, and Spanish to me. At that moment, I honestly felt he was just trying to be nice and friendly, and it didn’t make me uncomfortable at all. In fact, I appreciated his food recommendation he suggested I try my sandwich with the Wild Rice Cranberry bread, and it was absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately, what happened at the end completely changed our experience. The waiter turned to my husband and said in English:

“Just so you know, the name of the bread is Wild Rice Cranberry, because you’ll probably have to order it for her next time. I’m the only one who speaks Spanish here.”

That comment was unnecessary and disrespectful. I understood every word he said, I speak English perfectly well and it was offensive to assume I wouldn’t be able to order for myself just because of how I look or because he chose to speak to me in Spanish first.

Discrimination can come in subtle forms, and this was one of them. My husband and I both left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. We usually love this restaurant, but after this experience, we won’t be returning to the Roseville location or if we ever return, we will definitely ask to be seated with a different server.

I truly hope management addresses this issue and reminds their staff that judging a customer’s language skills or intelligence based on appearance is never acceptable. I’m proud to be Mexican, but no one deserves to be treated as if they’re “less than” because of their ethnicity.

Got seated and no one offered us a beverage. Waited 20 minutes and no one took our order. Wasn't busy at all. Not sure if it's because we were the youngest there (still adults). Decided to leave. Waste of time.

DoorDash order my bacon was not cooked all the way. The thought of raw bacon my pancakes makes me very nauseous. Couldn’t even eat my meal and door dash won’t make it right.

Wonderful weekday brunch here. I love the all day breakfast. Recommend the French toast, fresh and cinnamon sugary. It's really delish. This place is definitely an institution and if it sounds good to you it probably is.

I ordered the eggs Benedict.
Was delish! I you order though and are not a big water, you can easily share your meal with another person...it comes in big portions.
Would definitely eat there again.

Had the carrot cake and it was yummy! Appropriately moist and substantial, spice smells wafting from it before I had my first forkful, and the sour cream frosting was also delicious.
