I've been eating at savoys for 30+ years. Got 2 large pizzas, very disappointed. It was very thin, barely any cheese. Thought we got it from Broadway pizza! It used to b u couldn't even order extra cheese, they wouldn't let u. Not up to par for all the pizzas we've gotten. I wish the Snelling locatio didn't close, he had the best pies, next to Red who made us alot of par baked ones!
Why anyone eats any pizza besides Red's is a mystery to me. It is unique and delicious. The sauce is sparky, and the cheese bubbly. The crust is never soggy. The overall impression is one of freshness.

If you have not tried Red Savoy Pizza yet, you must. When they call it ‘Sota Style’ it really is Minnesotan. The sauce is rich and zesty, and they put enough of it on for you to seriously enjoy it! The cheese is real, let’s face it, Your cheeses is oui and gooey, and the perfect amount. You don’t even need to order extra! Not a fan of the sausage (is there onion in there?). But they’re pepperoni and vegetables are out of this world delicious and fresh just introduced...
