SAGE ROCKS!!!!° Great place!
What a fantastic place, experience with very good wine; never disappoints. A southwest Minnesota gem.
Beautiful and quiet location. Good wine and food. The owners and staff are friendly. Will definitely recommend.
Still my favorite place in this part of the state. My husband’s meal (ribeye) was perfect. My buffalo filet was a little overcooked (crazy busy night with a wedding going on) The host comped my meal (not necessary) and we had a chance to talk with the owner. This is a fantastic place. The wine is very good. The atmosphere is great. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Food was excellent! Had the classic bison burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was so big I immediately cut it in half!
Hubby had the bison mushroom Swiss burger and enjoyed it.
Got the wine tasting of four wines ($10!).
Water features at the outdoor seating with koi and waterfalls.
Everything was absolutely delicious.
Roasted Sweet Peach pizza!!
Bison filet and burger. And some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. Cannot forget about the Hive 2 Hand PB&J beverage.
OH you wanted to know about the location. It is beautiful lots of room to park or turn around. There were 3 parked lakeside and then another 5 outback.
It's a really nice place in a great location, right on the lake. Everyone is very friendly and the wines are very good. A little gem to check out if you haven't already.
I think this may have been the best pizza I have ever had!! Will definitely go back again.
Simply awesome. Exquisite wine, mead drinks, and atmosphere. The chicken filet of my Caesar salad was impeccably tender and oh-so-tasty. It was an incredible treat to dine here.
Beautiful location, but man was this a weird experience. We walked in and stood there, no one came to us. There was no one at the bar for a tasting. We were seated at a table and it seemed like no one knew what they were doing. I asked for a tasting and it was like they had never done one before. I was unable to get all white wines in the tasting and some were in dixie cups and one in a glass. They never talked about the wine at all, I still do not know if they make the wine there or not. NOTHING was discussed. We watched other groups walk in and stand there confused as well. The wine we did taste was overpriced and not good, we just cashed out and left.

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at Round Lake Winery. The staff was kind, helpful, and fun throughout the entire planning process and on the day of the wedding. Everything was organized well and each little detail discussed was remembered. The location is beautiful and well maintained, making it easy to take photographs. The owners and event planner are extremely easy to work with and are happy to help you make the most of your day. We loved having our wedding at the vineyard and will be going back to enjoy everything else they have to offer.
Heard rave reviews about this place. The yard was being mowed at the same time we were eating outside. When we mentioned the mower to our wait staff, she totally made excuses. My food was meh. Tipped the staff well although it was not earned. Hopefully, it was just an off night.
This is a fantastic place. Beautifully and tastefully done. The 5 star rating from me is because of the meal I had. The wine is great, and so was the service, but the meal was...otherworldly. I had the bison filet. Presentation was fantastic, but the flavor, and tenderness just was over the top delicious. Met the owners and they were so gracious to us.
Beautiful location, fablous food and wine, and the friendliest folks. My husband had the Bison Filet and hands down it was the tastiest and tenderest filet he ever had. The bison tacos and peach pizza are quite the lip smackers, too.
Some girlfriends and I planned a lunch at the winery. We were the only patrons in the dining room at the time and asked our server if we could turn on the fireplace as it was chilly in the room and we could see the thermostat said 58 degrees. The server said no problem and turned it on for us. There are offices upstairs above the restaurant because some lady who was working up there came down and said I’m going to have to shut off your the fireplace because it’s kicking the air conditioning on upstairs. Please don’t turn it back on. It was extremely rude when you having paying customers who don’t want to sit in a room at 59 degrees. She then went over to the server and loudly said did you tell them they could have the fireplace on? Let’s not be turning it on. Our server was super sweet but it was really poor when my friend asked if she could get a cup of coffee and the server came back to our table and apologized saying I’m sorry the cook in back said we can’t make a whole pot for one person. My friend said seriously? Our table then said we would each take a cup to make it worth making a pot and nope. Lastly, we received our bill which they do not print you a copy they show the bill to you from an iPad. Ok fine, so I was paying with credit card and the server tried to run my card at the table with her wireless reader. It froze in the middle of trying to select a tip. She apologized and said sorry our wireless is so bad here. So she took me to the bar area to try to pay on that credit card machine and it would not boot either. I had to borrow some extra cash from my friend as I usually use card to pay so will always carry cash after this experience but really poor as the other guests that were in the dining room later also couldn’t pay with credit card as well. If you are going to have a business make sure you have Internet that works and plenty of wireless access points. Also make sure your rooms are at a decent temp for your guests and put your guests needs first above your office temperatures. It’s too bad our first experience was so bad as it looked like a really nice place to eat and visit. Hopefully the dining issues will change.
