I can't see how this place has such high reviews...breakfast was subpar.... Waitress was just .... strange.Girlfriend and I ordered two breakfast platters, When I ordered, I was literally asked: "You gonna eat ya hash browns?" I said " well, the platter comes with hash browns, right?" She said, in a creepy way, "If ya ain't gonna eat ya hash browns, I ain't gonna give em to ya." Sounded like the start of a 3rd rate horror movie to me.Food was less than mediocre...and I can see why people don't "eat their hash browns". Undercooked and slimy. I bet they weren't on the grill for more than 20 seconds. They are supposed to be hash browns, not "hash whites."Eggs flat, flavorless and flaky...sausage and bacon were slightly above spam quality.We won't be back.

We have visited Stumpys a few times over the past four years and every time we have has good service and great food at a reasonable price. This time was no exception. What made it even more special was, even though they are closing in a couple of weeks due to the owner's retiring (and finding no buyer to take over), this hasn6dampened the spirit or service of the employees. Great service!Our waitress was especially attentive when I asked to buy one of their remaining T-shirts. She went out of her way to look in teo different storage spots and bringing me what they had and the price list. I chose one and gave her a nice tip for her work.This is the kind of attention and hard efforts small town people do to satisfy their customers. Sorry to see them close.

We hadn't been to Stumpy's for more than 10 years. No real reason, except it is more than 45 minutes from home. After hiking in a nearby State Park, we stopped at Stumpy's for lunch. The service was fast and friendly, the beer was cold, and the food was great. We will be back in less than 10 years!

This man is one of the greatest living men ever! A literal angel on Earth! I can never thank him enough for saving the most priceless memories a person could ever cherish. My surviving and thriving son and his incredible wife and my beautiful grandchildren will now receive a part of their heritages that if it wasn't for stumpy I would not have these priceless memories! We were at a wedding yesterday and Stumpy's catered this event. We were not sure about the food that was going to be served. It was a huge surprise, and to say EVERYTHING was absolutely DELICIOUS is an understatement!! They had a huge variety of pizzas, walking tacos with all the trimmings, batterfried cheese curds, french fries, I feel like I am forgetting something...but I would definitely recommend them!!! The people working at setting up and making sure there was always food on table did an amazing job!!Thank you all!!!

I had a catering order with another restaurant and was screwed over by that restaurant!I made a call to Stumpy’s and asked if they could accommodate 30 or so people in very short amount of time and was told that they could.We should up a half hour later and was greeted to an area prepared for our group. The staff did an amazing job with extremely short notice and made our experience here very enjoyable and put us at ease with the great service with what had happened earlier with the other place.We thank you for hosting us and we will definitely return for any of our future events in that area!!
Totally enjoyed our breakfast at Stumpy's. It was a cool, rainy morning which made everything more tasty. We'd especially like to complement server extraordinary (Purene?). It added to the experience to see how efficiently she handled the whole room. Thanks Purene!

Many locals go here for fish in Friday's. Not too expensive and the wait staff are friendly. With construction you need to park on the side and use that door. Pizza is a favorite also. The name Stumpy's has been in Rushford for many many years.

Good food - my mother and I split a chicken strip basket and each had a dinner salad. Add some fried pickles in for an appetizer, and it was a very good lunch!

I love love love the food, but the whole call and order to go thing, it is very rare to actually get someone to answer when I call, and when I do get an answer by that point I am just over it, called about 4 times one day, and it just rang and rang each time, no beeping to signal that the line was busy or anything, it just seems like they ignore the phone or something.
