Best country fried steak anywhere hands down. Very good food and amazing dumplings in their corn rival soup. I drive 2 hours just to eat at this restaurant sometimes. Great diner prices and a good selection of take home canned and baked goodies. Cute little country type store upstairs, restaurant downstairs.
We have eaten here multiple times and we've never been disappointed with the portions, quality, and most importantly service. Everything is made in house and delicious! Natalie is a fantastic server and I love how only after serving us one time she immediately recognized us when we walked in the door! A good visit to one of Saint Charles’ food spots.Formerly the Amish Oven, Whitewater Restaurant offers old fashion meals that fill you up with comfort.Price was reasonable. Kids menu had several options for under 5$. Biscuits and gravy, omelet, grilled cheese, pancakes, and more all delivered to expectations.On the main level you can find a gift shop with artisan goods and crafts.Cleanliness and upkeep of building was ok, but feel it could use a little TLC.
