The menu has changed and I believe the cook might have changed. The last two times we have eaten there it has not been nearly as good as a few months ago. Hope it goes back to where it was or we will have to find somewhere else to go…
After the new menu change the food has disappointed me every time.
Pretty good food, a bit pricey other then that the only thing they need is a new water filtration system because their tap water taste horrible

Hands down one of the best omelettes my husband and I have had. She made the drinks perfect and love the atmosphere.

They are out of their league in cooking. The description on the menu is not what they serve sadly. $35. For a breakfast that was horrible.

We went for breakfast and it wasn’t super busy but it took 20 minutes to be greeted. When she came she said what can I get you to drink. I said we’d like to order too. She rudely said I’m not your waitress, she will take your order. Whoever she was we hadn’t seen anyone.
When we did see our waitress she was nice but didn’t really seem to know what she was doing. I asked for my OJ with my meal but it came right away. No problem food won’t be too long. lol. Yeah right. About an hour and 15 minutes later some people started getting food. Then every 5-10 minutes someone would get something. I finally got my French toast, my eggs and syrup were missing. I had said thank you I just need my eggs and the syrup. She smiled at me and then started tapping on the screen and restocking stuff, etc. She came back with a few things. Then I said I still need syrup and my eggs. Also one person still hadn’t got their food yet. Then she proceeded to say, what did you have again? Finally, she brought the syrup but by that time it was cold I never got my eggs. I didn’t eat any of it. She did finally bring the last person’s food, but the order was completely wrong. Everyone’s food at the table was cold or wrong or missing stuff except for the person who had oatmeal.
Also, we heard like multiple other tables complaining either getting wrong stuff. Their bill was wrong. It was bad.
Needless to say, the service is horrific. I ended up going home and making breakfast. What a waste of time and money.

Food is great. Superb selection for a small community. Not a typical burger and fries menu.

Good food, great service and just a great all-around local vibe. It's a great place for a nice dinner or just to have a drink. Glad to have a place like this in town.

Chester's lives up to its name. A perfect small town tavern. Our server was excellent (which you don't always find in a small town). I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Walleye with roasted broccoli. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the broccoli was spot on. The drink menu was very good as well. It's a new place which can usually provide for some hiccups, but we had none. We will definitely go back. Keep up the good work!

It didn’t seem that busy but food took a while. Never got the appetizer that we ordered. Asian Sesame Bowl was great but if I would order again I would have sauce on the side. Too much sauce overpowering the bowl. Ceasar salad was very soaked with dressing and not a crouton to be found.
Kind of an underwhelming experience. I won’t be in a hurry to go back.
$3.75 for a fountain drink seems a little steep.

Had lunch there this week! It was terrific .... My mother had the grilled cheese with tomato soup. She said the soup was delicious and the grilled cheese had great flavor with the different cheeses. I had the chicken and bacon sandwich. From the bread to the chicken and bacon it was fantastic!!! Last, but most the important the staff was attentive and provided exceptional service.
My husband and I had breakfast there today. Very impressed. From atmosphere to service to food everything was excellent. prices very fair. Try the Raspberry fritter French toast. We will be back. Next time for dinner.
