I love historic buildings with the unique details we don't see in today's architecture. I was expecting a "lunch-type" fair with soup, sandwiches, and salads, and that is what I found on the menu. I've been twice, ordered something different both times and enjoyed both meals. I also appreciate the gift store next door that I can wander around in while my food is being prepared.

I doubt I’ve had better coffee than this coffee shop. I’m dead serious. I live in Mpls and have traveled across the country - this place is a GEM. I’m not you’re average coffee drinker, I’ve grown up on homemade espresso drinks and my father roasts his own beans.I love the flavor of this coffee. The espresso was strong but but bitter, the almond milk the was steamed to perfection. I love the Victorian era bathroom and decor too - so novel. If you’re passing through this place is a MUST-STOP, if you live in St James, I envy you. You don’t know what you have! Places like this are rare!

I live 2 hours away but I once lived in St. James for 8 months... I absolutely LOVE this cafe! Best food and treats. And great coffee.I often ate their 3-4 x a week.I came to visit today to pick up homemade Christmas cookies!! And ate my favorite sandwich/melt 'The Turkey Gobbler' so good!!!
