I live in New Mexico and visit family in St James. Lupe’s has become a family go-to. Authentic Mexican food that would stand out in Mew Mexico. Nice atmosphere. Good drinks. Super nice staff.

Perfectly average food. The quesadilla was so stuffed with cheese, meat, and beans as to be a real grease bomb. It's served atop a serving of refried beans, making it extra unappetizing from a texture standpoint. My wife and I ordered a coke and a water, which we received, but the waitress brought no waters for our three kids. My wife's taco order came with assembly required, which is the style some places, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. They do not take payment at the table, which I only put together after a lengthy wait and seeing another table pay at the register.

Kid-friendliness: My kids love the asado tacos (stake) I ask for it without the veggies and opt for avocado instead. Yes it's just avocado and not guacamole. (They do offer guacamole if you prefere)
