Wow! We will be back. Food was super good. The portions were larger than anticipated and the prices were spot on. We were in a hurry to make another appointment and the service was also prompt. I am very impressed.

I truly love the atmosphere and their food, but they definitely have trouble with their service. I have given them three attempts to make this service problem better. The last time my friend and I met there for dinner. We chose Anejos because of the good food and I had a coupon from their text deals. We arrived at 5:15pm, I was seated first, my friend arrived seconds later. We sat at our table with servers running back and forth to other tables. After about 15 minutes of being ignored. I called a young man over who was busing dishes off another table. I asked if he could send a server to our table. He said “I will get your server or I will be back to get your order.” We continued to watch servers walk by, going to other tables for another 20 minutes. No water, no chips and salsa, no server ever came to our table and we were there for approximately 45 minutes. We just got up and left. At that time the young man that I spoke with and another female server, just stood there looking at us like we were being rude for leaving. I’m sorry, but I am not going to beg for someone to wait on me at a restaurant. I don’t think I want to try again. As I previously stated, this was the third time of awful service and was the worst of the three recent visits.

Anejo’s has completely fallen apart over the last couple of years, and it’s honestly shocking that this place is still in business. The food quality has gone downhill to the point where it’s almost inedible. What used to be fresh and flavorful is now bland, soggy, and thrown together with zero care. The portions are smaller, the prices keep climbing, and yet the quality is at an all-time low. It feels like they’re just cashing in while giving customers the absolute bare minimum. If the food wasn’t bad enough, the service is downright horrendous. The staff act like they couldn’t care less whether you’re there or not. Orders are wrong more often than not, the wait times are ridiculous, and when you finally do get your food, it comes out cold or sloppy. The customer service here is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced rude attitudes, no sense of urgency, and no accountability whatsoever. This place is an embarrassment to the community and a waste of money. There are plenty of restaurants that actually value their customers and take pride in their food, and Anejo’s is clearly not one of them anymore. I honestly pray this place shuts down so something better can take its spot. Sartell deserves better than this sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant.

This place is my favorite! Best salsa and chips. My favorite meal is their Burrito Ruleta. I have been going here since they opened with my parents, and in my early days was able to convince a few dates to eat a meal with me here, I remember one of my dates got seconds on her margarita lol I wouldn't hesitate to bring your companion here on a date, or your family. The staff are friendly and are family I believe so the faces are familiar. Atmosphere is authentic. Location is sweet. I live a 4 minute walk away.

Wait staff was great, food was fantastic (their chorizo is actually spicy and very very tasty), and the atmosphere is lovely! My sister is a vegetarian and they were easily able to alter menu items to suit her dietary needs. Will definitely be returning soon.
