Its a down town dinner-- the pancakes taste like cake batter, everything else is perfectly cooked. Want some great basic lunch/breakfast- give them your lunch break.

This restaurant has not been good since the early 2004 and now it absolutely sucks the bags. What was once a place people could actually enjoy has turned into a complete joke. The food is bottom-of-the-barrel, beyond poor quality, and tastes like it was slapped together without the slightest care or effort. Every plate that comes out of that kitchen is a disappointment. On top of that, the prices are ridiculous they’re charging premium rates for garbage food that isn’t even worth a fraction of what they’re asking. It’s insulting to customers and a complete rip-off.
The service is no better. The staff act like they don’t want to be there, and the atmosphere is lifeless, almost depressing. There’s no pride, no energy, no sense of hospitality. Just a tired, worn-down restaurant limping along on a reputation it lost more than twenty years ago.
And to make it even worse, they’re still stuck in the Stone Age with a cash-only policy. It’s 2025 nobody carries cash anymore, and the fact that this place refuses to adapt is beyond pathetic. It screams laziness and a lack of care for customers. Forcing people to scramble for an ATM just to eat overpriced, disgusting food is the final nail in the coffin.
Ding Dong Café has been finished for years, and everyone knows it. The new owners ran it straight into the ground, and now it’s nothing but a shadow of what it used to be. Honestly, this place should just close down permanently. It’s a waste of time, a waste of money, and a huge embarrassment to the community. Let something better take its place, because this dump has long outlived its usefulness.

Old time charm...enjoyed watching the locals fill up the room while chatting up a storm. Very friendly and breakfast was great. Belgian Waffle (plain) and scrambled eggs!

May 2025. I did takeout of the Baked Chicken Dinner for $9.99. Right away I knew I got plenty of food for the cost - it was heavy! The chicken was moist and fell right off the bone. Everything was great. I recommend this dinner!

An out-of-the-way local cafe worth checking out. They serve breakfast all day, are quick to serve up menus and coffee as you seat yourselves, and is overall a pleasant place to have brunch and chat with friends.

Delicious food. This is down to earth delicious food. This is the cafe that should be in every small town across America.
Small-town, neighborhood cafe. If you're looking for ambiance... this isn't the place! We took advantage of the all-day breakfast. Overall, everything was good and we'll be back. Only real negative was my over-easy eggs were over-medium.
