Wasn't very happy when pulled in today to notice that this place eliminated their lounge/TV room for the drivers. I was here just a couple months ago and it was still there. They decided an expanded chrome shop is more important than my convenience. Now the only reason to pull in here is for the restaurant. That's why they got any stars at all. I'm in Melrose and Sauk Centre often for work, as I'm a travel CNA. I heard of this place by word of mouth from some coworkers. I was unsure of what to expect but it exceeded my expectations. Low cost, home style cooked food with friendly staff. With it's name you'd think it'd really only cater to truckers but more often there are families and older couples eating. Get the country fried steak. It's perfectly seasoned, breaded, and fried..... Topped with savory sausage gravy. The mix of the ground beef, breading, and sausage gravy is a wonderful symphony in your mouth. That's all I order when I'm here. This is also the best breakfast place in town. The food is good and the service is friendly.
