Four stars for the food and service when they're serving. Zero stars for arbitrary closing times despite posted hours on the door.
Great food. Great service. Always a nice family restaurant experience.
Good customer service and good food...but i don't like being corralled...
It was clean and the food was well prepared. The prices have really gone up recently it seems. My main complaint is that I have been in multiple times in the evenings, and the staff very clearly is anxious to go home. They are watching the clock and rushing us along, even when they are still open for an hour and a half.... I think of Perkins as a restaurant that you can sit with a friend and talk over a meal. When there are empty tables everywhere and they are still open for a long while, it should be okay to sit and chat.
Our food order came out wrong. The waitress was busy. My daughter's pancakes were burned on 1 side and just seared on the other, also missing a nice piece of pancake on the bottom. Not my best meal at Perkins.
I ended coming to this location due to the one I go to most often was packed. This place was quite empty and was served in a timely manner. The only thing that I missed out on is the greeting I always receive at the Lyndale location. Here the wattress was okay but never came back to me to see if everything was to my liking. Will respond again at a later date to compare once again.
Our server and food were great but the part of the restaurant we were seated in was literally over 80 degrees (on a winter day in MN). The servers and staff would comment how hot it was when entering that room, so why would management seat people there or just fix the issue? We were literally sweating by the time we left (other room was full). Wasn't a terrible location overall but I prefer others in the Twin Cities.
Service was excellent but the food was overcooked, cold, and partially inedible. The renovation was nice but they need better ingredients and better chefs. I won't go back.
They have a fantastic chicken stripe melt that I would reccomend to everyone that goes there for lunch or dinner. But their breakfast is some of the best around since we are running out of diners. Definitely would recommend for the whole family.
Great customer service and breakfast was fantastic. Definitely will go back!
