We ordered take out, and was told it would take 10 minutes at the very most. That was perfect because we ordered other food from another one of the vendors there. In the end we waited 45 minutes for them to make 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 1 cheese curd. We kept asking "Where's our food", and everyone was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. "It will be 2 minutes", "It will be 3-4 minutes". That's all we heard as if the place was packed. IT WAS VERY SLOW THERE. 5 tables eating, most people at the bar just drinking. What were they even doing back in the kitchen? We were just about to cancel our order and get our money back when they brought our order out. We started eating in the car, and somehow within 2 minutes the burgers "got" cold, they forgot the fries, and the burgers were way over cooked!! Do not eat here! You will wait forever, and be lucky if your order is complete. We were so disappointed, and will never go back. We ate there 2/22/2024. Ordered at 6:24 pm. Received at 7:11pm. Ate it at exactly 7:13pm. Already cold ( how?), missed 2 orders of fries, burgers were over cooked (incompetent), and the burgers were very small(over priced). My wife didn't finish the burger, and just gave it the dog. Hyvee, replace Wahlburgers!

Horrible Experience at Wahlburgers | Hy-vee needs to bring back their own restaurant. The dining experience at the old Hy-vee Market Place (now a Wahlburgers) has reached a new low. They no longer have table service, you have to order at a counter in the grocery store which is rarely manned. In our case, after waiting several minutes I finally found ALL 3 employees in the kitchen chatting about their personal life. After placing our order, it took over 20 mins to get our food (there was only 6 people in the entire restaurant. We have eaten at other Wahlburgers and sadly even the food was poorly prepared (under cooked chicken and bacon, burnt onion straws. On the plus side, the cheese curds were great. After delivering our food we never seen an employee again. Hy-vee need to take back control of this restaurant or close it.

Poor experience all around. Food was overpriced and tasted horrible. Wife’s chicken ranch sandwich came with no ranch and tasted like fry oil and that’s it. My chicken wings were incredibly overcooked. My daughter’s grilled cheese was burnt. The only person they had on the floor was the bartender who was already swamped with people. Don’t waste your time here.

Mac and cheese is good, but burger is complete disappointment! For 13$ burger I was expecting something much much better. It is tasteless and very small. It was our first and totally last time ordering there. 3 stars for Mac and cheese only.

Mediocre burgers. I never expected $15 burger be as low quality as this. American processed cheese. Kids meal came with fruit cup as the side. Like the plain preserved part of the 6pak plastic thing with tons of sugar. I would receive better quality and service in McDonald’s.Fries were fine. Never ever coming back

Food was passable. Definitely not of the quality they are charging. You will get a MUCH better burger at Culver’s. Mine was overcooked. I could let that slide, but the soda machine was disgusting. Filling a cup with a clear soda like sprite left tons of black floaters in the liquid, indicating that the nozzles seldom get washed. If you can tolerate all that, the cherry on top was the big screen tv showing a show about children with cleft palates where they show the actual corrective surgeries. Don’t get me wrong, I want the kids to be seen and get the help they need, but seriously? The burger was fantastic. Chocolate malt is nothing more than blended chocolate ice cream. That was a drag. The overhead music is as loud as going out to a nightclub. Then switch to a TV show at the same volume. I will never go there again.

Their check in desk (located outside the restaurant) says to check in and order there, yet no one was staffing it. 2 employees at the bar don't even look at people coming in the door.
