Dry donuts and cinnamon roll were at least a day old. Kind of funny when they try to say something different to a person who's been in food service for years. No way they are made fresh daily. Milk luke warm at best. Old building and it smells like it. Not my best experience.

This is one of those places that people in the year 2060 will talk about when they wax nostalgia about downtown Shakopee ’back in the 20s'. There are no gimmicks or frills. There is just a product made with love; which, fortunately for everyone who visits Bittner's, just so happens to be donuts.

My favorite item: easily the powdered sugar donut holes. It's hard to explain the level of decadence when you pop one in your mouth.

The smell speaks for itself when you walk in. Delicious donuts and rolls. Friendly service. Clean shop. Lots of variety. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend. We tried the old fashioned, raised glazed and raised maple. They were all perfect.

The best bakery around! You can’t beat the homemade goodies they make. Everything is fresh, the prices are so reasonable, and the owners are so sweet. I could eat one of their donuts everyday!

Very kind staff! They have a good variety of delicious donuts, all fair priced. My favorite bakery in town.

Wonderful bakery that way to many people are sleeping on. This reminds me of the “small town” traditional bakery with the wonderful taste to go with it. Please, do yourself a favor and stop in.

I grew up in my parents bakery and developed their habit of visiting every bakery I see. Bittner's is exactly what you'll find in most small towns: good tasting, oversized pastries at a moderate price. I tried a few of their items. No signs of over fried or over proofed products. If I lived in Shakopee I'd probably get our Saturday pastries there.

I reached out via their Facebook messenger to order a custom cake for Mother's Day. Communication was prompt and courteous. The cake turned out so stinking cute! It was just the right amount of icing to cake ratio and so moist! Will definitely order cakes in the future!

Holy moly! Probably the freshest donuts I’ve ever had. Can’t believe I live so close and haven’t been here before! Will be back! Maple long John and Chocolate Bismarck were so good! They just melt in your mouth!!

They have amazing donuts. Always full when I've stopped. Staff is friendly & helpful. Very clean, organized & relaxing atmosphere. They're always busy, so get there before they run out.

I hope Bittner's sees this. I love the idea of a local downtown bakery being my go-to for all things baked goods. Bittner's has the charm to be the ideal place. but their execution is lacking. Your donuts taste way too oily...in fact on some days, nothing but oil. I'd rather have a garbage reheated dunkin donuts donut than your oil logged donut. You gotta dial in the temperature of oil, proof your dough, do something to fix it. Can you not taste the oil in your donuts? your frosting/icing is way too sugary. truly good donuts are not pure sugar. they are butter sugar. find the balance. it's not 1983. i will still go there and support the place, but you gotta figure it out. because you should be the GO TO donut shop in this town. but you are not...the overpriced joke of a donut shop down the street should've never opened if Bittner's locked down the donut game in this area like they should have. Honestly, i'd prefer a Cub donut to Bittner's all day every day but I hate walking so far to get a donut.

Our daughter begs to come here for donuts. It has always been good and tastes homemade. I love the lemon bismark. It’s unique and yummy.

Could improve on communication, especially with new potential customers. Reached out via email (no response) and via Facebook message (left on read). Even just acknowledging the inquiry and sharing that they'd follow up soon would have been appreciated.
